[A] Hi, my name is Lisa Hannigan and I'm an [Gb] Optimist Alive.
I'm a supporter of the [Eb] Lisbon Support.
How the Richard [A] Hawley support came about was,
we just put our name into the hat, but I think,
I had met him a couple of years ago [Eb] at this Irish TV kind of festival-y thing
called Other Voices down [Ab] in Dingle.
And [G] I sang a song with him and went for pints and everything.
So [C] I know him a little bit.
[Gb] I hope, maybe that's [N] why my name came out of the hat again.
But I'm really looking forward to it.
I absolutely love it.
If I could [Eb] collaborate with anyone, I think it would have to be David Byrne.
[Abm] I went to see that [Eb] wonderful show he did with that record,
Everything That Happens, What's Happened Today.
And it was that great show where he had, [G] everyone was dressed in white
and he had three dancers and three backing vocalists
and all the band were in white and everyone was dancing.
And it was just the most incredible, incredible show.
So yeah, if he needs like a backing vocalist,
a really uncoordinated [D] dancing backing vocalist, that could be me.
[N] So just, you know, if you're watching David Byrne.
I can dance out of time and sing mostly in time.
Yeah, I'm trying to do some writing, but I'm finding it a bit hard at [Eb] the moment.
But I'm looking forward to having a bit of time to do it.
It's kind of [G] hard when you're always in a gang,
because it's embarrassing to be, you know,
sitting in the corner looking wistfully at the sky with your notebook.
So, you know, it's just too embarrassing sometimes.
So I'm looking forward to having some space to myself to do it.
That Goethe song's [A] mad.
It's such a good tune.
What happens, we oftentimes at radio stations,
[B] they say, play one of your songs and then do a cover, [N] a top ten cover.
You know, you have to pick one.
And that was kind of the only song in the top ten that I liked.
So I was like, we'll do that.
[G] And it's just everyone is so mad for that song that it's kind of,
it was [D] like this big thing.
Not a [G] big thing in the [E] scheme of the world,
but a big [G] thing in terms of [Eb] my YouTube channel.
[C] People were, you know, it's crazy.
[A] But it's just, [G] I don't know, what is the magic [D] of a great tune?
You know, that everybody just goes, wow, I love that song.
[Ab] It's weird.
It's [G] a weird thing.
I guess it's sort of a purity of sentiment to it or something.
And it's just kind of, it's really [N] purely, intensely performed.
I really don't know if I knew I would be writing it.
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
I mean, he started, I think he's doing gigs again,
but I don't know if he's got a new record on the go or anything.
[Bb] So I don't think so.
I'm pretty busy doing my own stuff now.
