But I had no idea that people would even want to hear it, let alone,
I mean, it was like number one single in Britain for four weeks, which was really strange.
And I like went on top of the pops and sang it and they kept playing it week after week.
And all of a sudden I was in the [B] tabloids and everything and it was like a [Dbm] pop song.

My thoughts is cancer.

Yes and no.
I mean, I think to take a word like sin and sort of demystify it and take it out of religious terms,
you know, is kind of what I'm trying to do here.
I mean, it's just basically for me, that title is more a human, a human term.
And, you know, we're sort of all on the same [Bb] path looking for something.
And there's different [G] stages of faith and different [Bb] stages of truth.

[Bb] the good sharp piece [Gm] is hard [Eb] to find.
A good honor.

When you write a song like you did for Fergal Sharky and they [N] cover it and it becomes a number one hit.
Is that success as sweet as it is when it's a number one hit as a performer?
That success was sweet for me.
And I'll tell you why.
I was 21 when that song became a hit [Gb] and I made so much money.
You can't even imagine how [D] much money I made.
I was 21 years old and I spent it all in like two years.
I spent it all.
It was like gone.
I lived in New York.
I like traveled.
I bought clothes.
I bought furniture.
I was like insane.
I was ridiculous.
I was [N] 21 years old, you know, and I mean, like I wrote that song when I was 18.
And somebody got a hold of it and it was like this big hit and it was hysterical.
I just, you know, but I don't regret it because it was fun.
And I lived my [E] early 20s.
