Well, I don't know that
Bela and Jerry actually have both sang on my records over the years in harmony,
because they both produced a bunch of records for me over the years. _
_ But yeah, I don't mind singing.
I'm a singer.

I heard it on the radio, _ gosh, more than 20 years
ago, I know, _ because I seem to remember where I was when I was_
You heard it.
It's weird.
And it blew my mind.
It was such a gorgeous and haunting melody.
And I didn't catch who was
singing it.
And there was no back announce.
And it was on a Sunday afternoon.
So I'm only guessing
it was one of those Sunday afternoon shows.

I remembered the first line
of the chorus.
And so I started googling it when I went to make the record and found that it was
a Holly Near song about the [Eb] the juntas in Chile in the 70s.
[E] And it's really it's about, you know,
the missing children and missing people and all that sort of stuff.
And so I kind of messed with
it a little bit.
And this is what I came up with.
