I'd like to give the names of the tunes I'm going to play.
The first reel would be a version of the Mason's Apron.
So some great musicians that heard me playing this tune
said they liked it very much.
Tony McMahon, that works for RTE,
and another man called Paddy Glackin, and Noel Hill.
So they liked the way I played the tune.
So, well, to be around where I lived at home,
it was mostly concertina playing.
That was that time, you see, when I started to play.
But I learned to play the flute.
So my own brother used to play the concertina.
But I find it awful difficult to play like that man,
God rest his soul.
And I can't even play like my other brother.
We're three brothers, but we all play
a bit different to each other.
So I'll play these two tunes anyway,
the way they helped me when I was young.

So I'm going to play this tune.
And I'm going to play it in the key of B.
And I'm going to play it in the key of G.
And I'm going to play it in the key of A.
And I'm going to play it in the key of G.
So you notice there that the second tune
that I played is singing.
Well, in the old days, you see, all players,
a lot of them used to play some reels that way.
So I think, well, I think you should play each part twice.
But then again, I like more or less to follow
what the older people used to.
I like very much their way of playing.
