He's in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not once but two times for helping create the classic bands
Crosby Stills and Nash [D] and the birds but David Crosby success pales by comparison with the life changes
He's experienced over the last few years.
Those changes have led to a new band called CPR the debut album came out this summer
They're here to perform for us.
But first it is my pleasure to [B] welcome one of my buds
[D] Well, where do we begin there's a fellow sitting over there in this band CPR his name is James
Tell me the story of how the two of you got together well
We
We met right after I nearly died right after the transplant his parents wrote me and said hi
we're we're trying to man a little Raymond and we raised your son James and
[Dm] Your son J.
Yes my son and without question and he had to become a musician without knowing that he was my son
[Bb] He [N] was
Brilliant at it and he is brilliant at it.
I'm gonna embarrass him now, but
we
we [D] met we got to be friends and
We became very close and we realized once we put music together that we'd had, you know a lot of the same
You know sources so and we loved the exact same stuff so we
We started playing and writing together and it just worked
And I introduced him to Jeff P bar the guy in the guitar player that I've been working with for a long time
my power my
favorite player and I and the three of us
Just [Db] clicked it just you know, sometimes that chemistry happens and there you are, you know
It's it's it's about a chemistry [Bb] and we were fortunate.
This song is called Morrison Jim Morrison
Well, it was really about being lost
It started with you know lost [Abm] like a gull blown in one on a stormy day, but Jim snuck his way in there
[B] Yeah, he did a pretty good lost.
