Mr Rock & Roll live on This Morning chords

Yeah, good luck with that.
Now, while most of her friends were [Eb] spending their pocket money on magazines and makeup,
12-year-old Amy MacDonald was spending hers on CDs.
And by the age [A] of 14, she was writing her own songs.
And [Gm] that was, well, [G] seven years ago.
You're 19 now, aren't you?
Yeah, so however many years ago that was.
And now Amy MacDonald is about to launch her debut single.
Here it is, Mr Rock'n'Roll.
And she's already getting rave reviews [Eb] and the new album is here as well.
This is called This [C] Is The Life and this is available at the end of July.
Amy, [Eb] you've worked so hard.
You were 12, [N] I think, when your grandmother gave you a tenner.
And you bought a CD.
Which one did you buy?
I bought The Man Who by Travis.
Yes, and you loved it and inspired you to write your own stuff.
Yeah, it inspired me to want to see them play live.
So I got my mum to [Ab] take me and then I was like, I want to do [B] that when I saw them play.
You were sneaking in, weren't you?
[F] When you finally got to be able to play yourself, sneaking in [G] and doing a little bit of playing.
Yeah, underage in bars.
And nobody knew you.
Yeah, [E] it was literally run to the corner and hide.
[G] And it's playing in front of people.
See, I've got two boys who, [Gm] one's a drummer and one's a guitarist.
I mean, they're just ordinary school boys.
But to make that leap from in your bedroom to doing it for a record label, how do you take that leap?
It's a bit hard at times.
It's really different.
And [N] sometimes, like right now, for instance, you need to pinch yourself and say, what am I doing?
But it's really exciting at the same time.
And it's just really cool.
And to see CDs of mine on the radio and see them in [Eb] shops is just so exciting.
Even more incredible, the fact that Fran Healey, the lead singer of Travis, [F] is now a fan of yours.
That was the first CD you bought and now he's a fan of yours.
[Abm] Yeah, well, he sang some of my songs back to me when I met him.
And I wanted to say to him, oh, I really [G] love you.
If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here.
But I could feel the lump in my throat and I thought, I can't just cry at this poor man.
He was like, I'm an idiot.
And one of the tracks he really likes of yours is Poison Prince.
Yes.
[Eb] Which is about Pete Doherty.
Yes.
[F] Who you really do feel has a great influence in music but screwing up [C] his life.
Yeah, I think [Gm] that when you go back [G] a few years when he was actually writing amazing [A] songs,
he was just a [G] really amazing musical talent.
And now it's [Eb] just, it's nothing.
He's squandered everything.
And only people know who he is from what we see in the tabloids.
And it's a shame, really.
Well, it's great because it means it won't happen to you.
[G] I hope not.
No, it won't.
So your band has been together now.
You've been together for a year or so?
Yep.
You've all [D] known each other since you were young, have you?
[C] In a way.
In a way.
But they're all still young.
I know, they're all still young.
[E] It's fantastic.
So certainly that [G] £10 from Granny was £10 well spent.
Yes, it was indeed.
And Mr Rock'n'Roll, the new single, what's inspired that?
It's just about, I feel [Ab] that some people my age,
they feel they have to always fit in to a certain group or a certain scene.
And I thought it was a shame, really.
So it's just about being yourself and not feeling you have to fit in anywhere or belong.
Aw, well, [G] let's hear it.
Okay, no bother.
Thanks, Amy.
Amy MacDonald.
Here we go.
[A]
So, Mr Rock'n'Roll is dancing on his own again.
He's rocking on his phone again to someone who tells [D] him that his balance is low.
He's got nowhere to go, he's on [A] his own again.
Rock chick of the century is acting like she used to be.
Dancing like there's no one there.
Before she ever seemed to [D] care, now she wouldn't dare.
It's so rock'n'roll [A] to build a home.
[E] And they'll meet one day, by the way [Bm] you say.
I'm sure it was something more.
And [E] they'll meet one day, by the way you [Bm] say.
I wish I knew [E] you.
I wish I knew [A] you before.
Mrs Black'n'White, she's never seen a shade of grey.
Always something on her mind.
Every single day, but [D] now she's lost her way.
And where does she go [A] from here?
Mr Multicultural sees all that one could see.
His love and proof are so very different to me.
[D] But now he wants to be free.
Free so he can [A] see.
[E] And they'll meet one day, by the way you [Bm] say.
I wish I knew you.
[E] And they'll meet one day, by the way you [Bm] say.
I wish I knew you.
[E]
I wish I knew [A] you before.
You [Bm] say, I wish I knew [E] you.
I wish I met [D] you when time was still on [A] my side.
You [Bm] say, I wish I knew [E] you.
I wish I loved [D] you before it was [E] too bright.
[A] And so they must depart to many more broken hearts.
But I've seen that all before in TV, books and film and [D] more.
There's a happy ending, every single [A] day.
[E] And they'll meet one day, by the way you [Bm] say.
I wish I was something more.
[E] And they'll meet one day, by the way you [Bm] say.
I wish I knew you.
[E] I wish I knew [A] you before.
[N]
Such a little body!
I know!
All live, unbelievable.
Thank you guys, very good.
Still to come today we have Cheers star, Rhea Perlman.
There's no end to it today, it's fabulous.
Back in a minute.
[Eb] [Gm]
[Eb] [F]
[E] Papa, no, he's a [Ab] bit tied up at the moment.
[Am] They'd do anything
