It's a _ _ fun record to [A] make.
It took us _ about a [C#] year because we started recording it.
[B] We started with a lot of the [A] ideas, recording them, and then we went on tour.
New record [C] is [C#] called High Road.
[B] _ We started working on it approximately like _
[C#] 10 months ago.
_ _ In [G] between touring, so it's taken a lot longer than we [D] thought.

In a lot of ways it's been good because we could work on it, come back, listen to it,
change [C] things, [C#] write more songs.
Excited to finally get down [D] to [G] the [F#] mixes and listen to it and finally [Gm] okay it and get it out there.
[Dm] We're excited [D] and we've got a great year coming ahead to _ go out [Gm] on tour and play some of the new [D] songs.
I think I speak for everyone when I say [G] we're really, really excited about everything that we're doing.
_ [D] I felt like we really took our time _ [G] getting the songs [D] together.
Couldn't be more excited about the new Night Ranger album.
[B] _ High Road just brings across a [C] whole lot of positivity through Jack [A] and Kelly's [Gm] lyrics
and I [A] feel like we got a lot of really great double guitar stuff.
[F#] It was sort of another [C] classic Night [B] Ranger, everybody in the room coming up with ideas.

Our first single _ called High Road, it's just [G] a great song.
I [B] love High Road because it's all about [C] freedom.
It's all [Em] about just making that move [A] and just going for it.
It's like [B] I'm on the high road.
[E] I'm going to stay on the high [A] road.
I think it's like [E] my favorite [A] Night Ranger song ever.

I really love it.
What can I say?
It's so [D] hooky.
It's so catchy.
_ [E] It's just, it was a pleasure.
Once we get [D] in there and start writing, [C#] we realize that we like _ what we're doing.
We like the direction.
We [G] always find those [C#] songs where we can be serious [C] and then we can be playful and we
[A] can be [B] party, you know, _ [C] party atmosphere.
We're fun.

_ _ [Dm] _ _ _ [A] Knock Knock Never Stop is a good [F] _ [C#m] classic Night Ranger tune, I think, that [Dm] with sort
of like [C] a rockin' America, like a party, you know, just fun.
We wanted to [G] have fun on this record.
We wanted to have, [B] I mean, there's some serious things on the record.
[C] There's some serious [D] lyrics and everything like that, but there's [E] also some just real
[A] fun, [C#m] straight up, let's have [C] a good [C#m] time.
And that's, Knock Knock [D] Never Stop is one of _ [C] those songs.
No [C#] matter how far along you get in [G] the game, man, rock and roll [B] is still fun.
It's [A] still a great time.
[G] And, you know, we like to get out on stage and enjoy ourselves.
[A] We're not about getting out there with scowls on our faces or standing still, you know.
_ We don't take ourselves so serious to the point where [G] we can't have fun with music.
And [A] rock and roll is [D] totally about that.
[C] Never stop doing [G] it again.

[G] _ _ _ _ [D] _ [C#] It's pretty [G] amazing that we're still making records [B] after 31 years.
So we _ [C#] still, you know, now it's kind of like, you know, do we have any more to say?
Well we always approach [G] the album with, you know, _ _ _ everybody's always agreed through, [F#] you
know, 30 plus years being together that it's all about the song, [F] you know, the song.
_ We always approach it to have that big chorus and then melodic [A] verses and then put the icing
on the [Am] cake with the guitar solos or keyboard [A] solo or harmony solos.
[C] There's a lot of work this year.
Night Ranger's going to be doing a lot [A] of shows all over the, [D] _
_ [C] I mean, we're going to Europe.
We'll be all over the world.
We're going to Europe, a lot of the US of A, [D] _
_ Japan, [C] _ get to be in Hawaii this time.
[A#] It's going to be nice, you know, [A] a lot of work, [C] a lot of fun.
But that's what Night [A] Ranger's always done.
Night Ranger's a working band.
And we will continue [C] to work as long as people come and [G] see it. _ _ _
