Hey guys, it's Brian back here again with another guitar tutorial.
It is New Music
Friday.
Yay!
Finally, today we're gonna do Noah Cahan's
Hurt Somebody.
You're gonna put your capo on the first fret here and so with that
we're just gonna call it the chord structure that you would normally have,
not the actual notes.
Alright, so your first note [C#] is C [Fm] and for those of you who
are tabs you actually want to mute the top E string.
So we'll start, so mute then
3 2 [C#] 1 0. [A#] [F#] Next note is F and that one is gonna be 3 2 1 1. [C#] You're gonna go back to C. [F] Then you're gonna do [A#m] A minor, so that's gonna be 2 2 1 0. Then [F#] you're gonna go back to F, [C#] back to C. [N] Alright, so we're gonna start this kind of slow because the strumming pattern is very syncopated. The beat itself is gonna be 4 4 times, so it's just gonna be the, but the strumming pattern is gonna sound like this. So we're gonna start off super slow. We're gonna actually take it down to [C#] C C C [A#m] C C F [C#] F C C C [A#m] A minor A minor A minor A minor A [F#] minor and then F F C. Try it again. C C C C C F [C#] F C C [A#m] C A minor A minor A minor A minor A minor [D#m] and F [C#] F C. Alright, let's beat that up. [F#]
[C#] [A#m] [F#]
[C#] [F#]
[C#] [A#m] [F#]
[C#] Alright, and that's your regular verse. And then the chorus is gonna be pretty much the same thing, except [Fm] we're gonna throw a G in after the A minor, so the G is gonna share that time that the A minor would normally have. So you'll see what I mean, I think. So we'll start with C again. [A#m] [G#]
[F#] [C#] Alright, [F#] [C#] [A#m] [G#]
[F#] [C#] [G#] [D]
there is another kind of a bridge part that's gonna have D [D#m] minor. And for your tabs out there, 2 3 1, [A#m] then A minor, [C#] then [Gm] C, and then back [D#m] to D minor, [A#m] then A minor, [G#] then G. And [E] then [C#] I [C] [A#m] [G#] [F#] [C#]
[A#m] [G#] [D#] [C#]
[Fm] Excellent work!
