[D] Do you know?
Oh, oh, oh, [N] oh.
Hey guys, how's it going?
HiRudeLife here.
I'm just going to take you through
Oh Wonder without you.
I think this is such a beautiful song and we're
hopefully going to be doing a cover of it at some point soon but
there's been quite a lot of demand for
a tutorial for it so I thought, well, why not?
It's really, really simple
to do but it's such a beautiful piece
even though it's so quick
and easy to learn.
So, there are four chords.
If you haven't seen the tutorials before,
this is the left hand,
this is the right hand.
So, these are the right hand notes you need
to play.
These are the left hand notes.
Each
line represents a chord and the arrows
in between represent the direction you go
in between those chords.
So,
the first chord that you have in the left hand
is G, D [G] and G
and then B, D.
Now, these are just
the simple chords that you would play.
You go E, B, E.
Now, the A with a star beside it means that you don't have to play
that A.
It's just optional but you can
add it in because it sounds nicer.
E, B, E is the next one.
So, that's the first one, G, D, G.
Then you go down.
The arrow [Em] says
G, B, E A, B E
You don't need to play that A but
you can add it in if it sounds nicer.
Then you go up to B, F sharp, B
and D.
[G] So, the first one
[Em]
B, [Bm] F sharp, B
and then the last one
you don't actually go up
or down because [F#] this F sharp
stays the same [D] but you play D
D, F sharp, A
and D.
In with it
there.
So, you're [Bm] transitioning
from B, F sharp, B
Now, what you can
play to make it sound very similar to the
song in between is this.
[G] Now, [Bm] that's just simply
[A#] [E]
D, E
F sharp, D, E
F sharp, E, D [Bm] B D
So, I'll do that one more time slowly.
And when you play that final D
you come in with the chord.
[G]
[Bm] [Em]
[Bm] Now, the next thing you can play when you transition
from here to there
you can play
it's very, very simple
A, B, D, E E
E, [G] D,
[Em] [Bm]
E
And if you want it to sound [G] slightly bigger
you just go down an octave
[Bm] [Em] and
[Bm] [D]
[Gm] you
just sing.
It's no different all the way through the
entire song but you can just make it
slightly more pretty by playing it up higher
or slightly more powerful by playing it down low
in both of the chorus
and in the verses
of the song.
It's all the same.
So,
I hope that that makes sense to you.
[G]
[Em] [Bm]
[G] Because I'm
picking up stones without you
Can't [Em] be on my own without you
[Bm] I'm a little bit lost without you
Now, [D] that [Em] last bit [G] there
Because I'm kicking up stones without you
Can't be [Em] on my own without you
I'm a little bit So,
you can add that on if you want to sing along
[Bm] I'm a little bit lost without you
[G]
[Em] Now, there is a transition between those notes
if you'd [G] like to do it
[F#] You [G] just play the F sharp
[Bm] [Em]
And it sounds perfect
But yeah, [D] that's absolutely everything that you need
to know.
If there's anything more that I can do to help
just comment down below.
But those are the basic chords that you need
And yeah, thanks for [F#] watching
guys.
I hope that helped.
