I got a few requests to do the song called Paint Me a Birmingham by Tracy Lawrence, so
that's what [G#] we're going to be working on.
Cool song, got a little bit of picking in [F#] here and some strumming.
[N] So grab your guitars, stick around and let's get this one learned.
Okay, for this song we're going to be playing it with the capo on the fourth fret.
The chords we [F#] need are D, [D#m] B minor, [B] G, _ [G#m] A.
[C#] [F#] We're also going to be adding the third fret here
on the A, [C#] on the second string. _ _
_ And we'll [G#m] need the E minor.
There's also a key change in here, and so I'll show [G#] you those chords for that key change
here in a little bit.
But [G#m] let's start out on the intro.
Here's what the [C#] intro sounds like.

_ [F#] _ _ _ [F#] So I'm just playing D, [D#m] B minor, [B] and [Fm] G.
[C#] But what I'm doing, I'm starting out with a slide up.
You can either [G#] slide up or [A#] hammer on [F#] and pull off, but I'm [G#] going on the fourth string.
[F#] _ [G#] So [G#] second, fourth, [F#] second, open.
[A#] [F#] Then I'm playing the D chord.
_ And we're [G#] doing that same thing.
[F#] _ [B] And then we're going to hammer on the fifth [D#] string into the [D#m] B minor. _
_ [C#] _ [F#] Then we're going to do the same thing [B] and play the G chord. _ _
_ [F#] [G#] So here that is a little bit [A#] slower.

_ _ [F#] _ _ _ [D] And if you don't want to do that picking or you're not at [F#] that level yet, you can just strum that.
And what we're doing here is down, down, up, down, down, [G#] up for the strumming pattern.

Let's run through that.
Starting on the D chord.
