Thank you very much.
I grew up in the Bible Belt, Mississippi.
That's where they believe Jesus Christ is the only God in the whole world.
And so I believed that wholeheartedly for a long time.
And then when I left home, I went out into the broader world
and I saw other folks that believed in something different than Jesus.
And they all seemed sincere, just like the Christians did.
And so I realized, at least for me, whatever you believe, you might be wrong.
[Am]
[G] So I wrote this song right here.
It's what I think about the whole thing right now.
[A] And this song got me kicked out of Sunday school.
Muslims, Christians, [D] Buddhists, and Jews
[A] Got their own version [E] of the truth
[D]
[A] There's a line in the sand, [G] [D] there's a war going on
They [E] forgot to remember [D] you [A] might be wrong
[D] [A]
Carry your faith [D] everywhere you go
[A] Mix it with love [E] and let it show
[A] But keep your mind open [D] as you move along
[E] Always remember [D] you might [A] be wrong
[E] Why do we [A] argue?
Why do we fight?
[D] Everybody thinks [A] God's on their side
[E] Just can't pretend [A] before you throw a stone
[D] Whatever you [E] believe, you [A] might be wrong
[D]
[E] [Dm] [A]
Don't cut me off, [D] don't say we're through
[A] Just because I [E] don't agree with you
You [A] see, flowers grow where [D] seeds of love are sown
[E] You could be right, [D] you might [A] be wrong
[E] Why do we [A] argue?
Why do we fight?
[D] Everybody thinks [A] God's on their side
[E] Just can't pretend [A] before you throw a stone
[D] Whatever you [E] believe, you [A] might be wrong
[D] What's
[E] [D] [A]
on [D] the other side of life?
[A] I won't know [E] until the day I die
[A] If you feel insecure, [D] you are not alone
[E] Cause everybody [D] knows you might [A] be wrong
[E] Why do we [A] argue?
Why do we fight?
[D] Everybody thinks [A] God's on their side
[E] Just can't [D] pretend [A] before you throw a stone
[D] Whatever you [E] believe, you [Em] might [A] be wrong
