Hello, I'm Paul Weller and you're watching Amiga

[Eb]
[D] [Eb]
[D] [Eb]
[Dm] [D]
This is my kid, [Dm] in the back room, on my four wheel
I picked two records that every home should have
Tropicalia, which is a compilation from a label called Souljazz
Late 60s Brazilian music [Gm] which kind of took over [C] from bossa nova
Every track's great I would say on this anyway
Osmultantes, Catano Veloso, Gilberto Gil
Black Trampola,
[N] Black Trampola
One of my favourite records of all time, I love Supreme John's John Coltrane
His Hymn to God, so it's got some very spiritual overtones to it
But absolutely amazing, all of it's really beautiful
If you don't know it, you should really really check it [Gb] out
T
[Ab]
[N] -Rex, which I've not seen in England, I'm sure it's out in the UK
It's the 40th anniversary, Electric Warrior, which is a T-Rex album from the early 70s
Which is mega as well, it's got so many great tracks on it
He pre-empted Bowie in some [D] ways, David Bowie, in kickstarting the 70s
For all the kids who [A] missed out on the 60s, were too young to really be part of the 60s scene
But he [G] looked and dressed and [Gb] spoke for a lot of [C]
kids at that [Em] time anyway
[G] [A]
[E]
[F] The Entailing Parlour Records, [Ab] Lonerism, great Australian band on [Bb] it
I don't know where they're from, maybe Brisbane or something like [Gm] that
This is their third album, [F] modern psychedelic music
They're only [Em] young, but they've got [Gm] a kind of different take on psychedelic music
Very colourful, but tuneful [F] as well, melodic
[C]
[Gm]
[F] Well [C]
it's another great [Bb] series of compilations [Bbm] right, with Ethiopian music from the [F] 60s and 70s
It sort of borders African music [Bb] and it also has a [Am] kind of element of Arabic music in it as well
Middle Eastern [Bbm] Arabic music, and just amazing [Ab] sound
It's a different sound to [Gb] Aria's [Bb] in the West
But really amazing music, beautiful melodies, and the language [Eb] is very fluid [C] and poetic
[Bbm] But that's a great series
[Am]
[Bbm] [Bb]
[A]
This is, talking of psychedelic [Gm] music, this is the American issue
This is called Heaven Is In Your Mind
Which [D] is [A] kind of, [D] I think it's like the second UK [G] album they put out
But it's got some different tracks on it
They put [D] some of the UK singles on this record
[A] So this is a reissue, which is nice to have, and it's in [Gb] mono
[A]
[G]
[D] Rodriguez,
[A] [Gbm] which is nice to see that he's kind of back [Dbm] in people's conscience again
Because he went missing for some time [D] anyway, for, I don't know, 40 years or something
But they made a documentary about [B] him very recently
[A] Thanks for keeping me alive
People [D]
maybe know that's [E] Trudavis Sugarman
Which is off a very, very [A] early album, it was late 60s, early [E] 70s
[Am]
[E] [F]
[E] I [F] [E]
[Am] bought a [G]
Stockhausen record
I only know some of his things, I don't even know what the titles are
But avant [Cm]-garde, you know, I don't know what they call that [Ab] sort of music
I suppose experimental avant-garde [Eb] music
Great textures in it anyway, made in Germany
[D] [Eb]
[G]
[Gm]
[G]
[N] Diana Washington is one of my all-time favorite singers
She has songs like September In The Rain and What A Difference A Day Makes
And just, yeah, beautiful, beautiful voice
Blues, but you know, something else going on as well
She was a great artist
[C] [F]
[C]
[Eb] [A] But [E]
[D] [Gb]
that's just a small, this is not even a tip of the iceberg
In this beautiful shop of yours
I could probably spend like a week in here
And then I'll be only a bit at the tip of the iceberg probably
[A] [Gb]
