Well, there is pure imagination and it's a real beautiful tune from Willy Wonka's
Chocolate Factory.
_ It's a song that I really didn't know much about until a
student asked me to do an arrangement for it and so I went ahead and did it.
He wanted an arrangement for his to play for Christmas for his dad.
So anyway, it
was his dad's favorite song. _
So we went ahead and do it so and so now I thought
we'd make a lesson out of it and share it with everybody.
_ I've been working on
the song now.
I must have played it today about 30 times [Em] and it's still I almost
got it.
_ And when you think you got it right the volume isn't right on the
guitar.
But anyway, what a great little tune and it's a one of those songs that
you play very rubato, _ very emotional, emote, you emote with it.
And it's just a
pretty song.
So I advise you to take a look at the original recordings of these
songs.
_ It's funny this song has been cut by a lot of different people.
Lou Rawls
has got like a disco version of it or something.
It's kind of funny.
But they go
on YouTube and find some vocal _ renditions of the song and it'll help
you to play the song if you know the words.
Always remember that when you're
going to play a song _ it's best to know the words because you do your phrasing
as if you're singing it.
_ So I want you to think about that.
