Now what we're [Gbm] going to do in this lesson is we're going to simply play the melody and
you're going to learn it note for note and then we're going to harmonize it like I did
playing it in thirds.
_ _ [Dm] _ [Ebm] And we're going to _ [Gb] _ _ [Gb] play it like that _ _ just to kind of mix it up and introduce you.
If you haven't played things in thirds, _ _ [F] you've got to learn [Gb] how to do that.
You know it's funny because I had a student come to a workshop once and he had been getting
a lot of studio work [G] because he, in his town where he [Gb] plays, he's the only guy around that
_ _ incorporates [Abm] thirds and plays them.
And so the studio owners [G] like him because [Am] he can [Gb] add little third, little tasty riffs
to things.
So that was kind of cool to hear that little story about him.
So obviously you want to get into that too.
