I'm Steve McDonald.
I'm Jeff McDonald from Red [B]
Cross.
We're here at Amoeba [Bm] Records
Hollywood speak [B] up Steve because the music's [F#] going up.
I'm getting loud
[D] Someone's like [G] we're in Amoeba Records turn up the jam
[B]
[E] [G] [D]
[E] [B] Bust bust one out right now fancy space [E] people
[G] [A] [E]
[G] [A] [E]
I
[G] Don't bowls is a person who [A] basically connects all la [E] musicians in some way or another I
Have missus fan [B] play every time they play live.
I've only seen them [G] online, [D] but everything I've seen has been mind-blowing
[C] [A]
I picked [D] up this
hot slab
[A] Of artist speed wagon with the hot single
[C] Give me head till I'm dead.
[Em] That's what you were you wanted to get the same
[F] Then [G] I told him I don't
[C] This is now this is them doing hair metal now, I [Am] don't know this is pretty hair metal.
It's like it's it's almost glam
Easy [A] listening.
Yeah, it's sort of like a middle-of-the-road went new wave
I went to [F#] a taping of Don Curtis
Once [D] and they didn't tell you who played [F] and the first fan was Ohio [C] players
I was being my friend with the only white [E] kids there and it was it [C] was really awesome.
It was just [A#] totally funky
[A] My roller coaster [Gm] there and I was [C] there too
Eight years old [A] then they revealed the next [C] band and it was the whitest group of all time
Aria speed wagon [G] and I had never even heard of them
[F] So we watched their set like [Am] once and then [G] because the whole room had cleared [C] out
They literally [G] begged us to stay [A] they just told it it's gonna really [G] rock man, but [F] we gotta go we [C] gotta go
We felt like [G] pressure to support Kevin [F] Cronin's ego
My little kids [G] and make them feel okay about that and that's like and that's abuse.
So, okay
So what else I get I got a set [Bm] of
[G] Ernie ball [D] regular slinky bass [B] string
Because [D] the full service store
[C] The dick of course the Yoko and John hosting the cabot [Am] show
I remember seeing them [Em] doing instant [Am] karma at my friend's house when they originally aired and they [C] all had these
Had [Am] these masks of their faces on the back of their head.
That was very
[C] striking image when I was a kid, so I thought to [E] cleanse my palate after [C#m] listening to
[G#] Our SP wagon for [G] 40 minutes.
I'll probably want to listen to [F#] the most recent high signal record
[F] They both got [E] this
[C#] [Em] [C#m]
[G#] Actual place even [B] ban the first [E] album he's recorded with his [C#] entire
[E]
Combo
[C#] They're really great [D] those kids and I also got tied in
[F] Did like a duets record with another [D] fine local artists.
I think white fence.
[A#] [G] [D] [F]
[Gm]
[D] [F] [Gm]
[Dm] I
[D] Actually lent this [F] to the drummer of off my other [D] band that I'm in Mario [A#] Rubio carbon.
He never gave a [D] bath
So [F] Mario you're watching this
[G] You know me you take [D] it out to do it to give it back to [F] Steve.
I got this the first [G] James Taylor album that [E] was
released on Apple [Em] Records
And I've never [G] actually heard this record, but I [Dm] hear report.
It's like over produced.
So I think [G] it's a late 60s [A] orchestrated
[Em] British pop sound [G] I did actually I really like and [Dm] sunshine
[G] Locked me.
I say [C] sunshine.
I
[Fm] Thought I would try [A] this record out.
I've tried this band many many times Animal Collective and
I've been here.
I think what would be considered a diss by most Animal Collective fans that this record is more [Em] mainframe and
[Dm] Always a good for me.
[G] That's a good sign like cuz I don't know.
I don't what I don't stream
They've been in but like I've been waiting for the [Fm] stream to get a little easier [C] to swim in
[Dm]
[G] [Am]
[G] [C] [Em] [G]
[D] [Dm]
[F] Since our album is called researching the [F#] blues blind Willie Maxell
Jeff [A] that he would actually research the bow.
I'll find it feeling losing up my spine
To my head like cherry [A#] wine make me think the world [C] all mine.
Maybe it must be love
well, I learned [B] about him through Bob Dylan and
In later Jack White off [G] as a huge fan Jack why actually sounds like him?
I think Brian [E] Willie McKell is the most top of all the [G] original blues
Or does he played 12 string [Am] guitar his voice kind of sounds a little bit like [A] Ray Davies incredible
No, I thought I would [F#] try out the new King tough
[D]
These [A] kids played with us recently at FYF festival, and I've only heard one song off of it, but it's
[F#]
[E] [D]
And [A] then that's about it I mean I thought I would hear a new master of Zeppelin to
Because I had all [G] this I was the [A] thing about CDs originally so they just would [D] put out
Whatever [B] master they get their hands on it was supposed to sound like
Like you know [E] like like someone just pulled the blankets off [B] the speakers [F#] finally and you were hearing all this brisk
brilliant clarity instead, but [G] they mastered off [Em] like
Someone's like you know cassette that they found [A#] underneath
their
1972
Yeah, they're LTD like under the front seat and melted and whatever so yeah there [E] you go and then
[A] I've [F] got the what you guys like [C] here to me, but I thought I'd read it
I should have boned up on this before I got [F] here.
[C] Okay.
I gotta be a lot more concise about my choices
Thanks
