[A] [N] Hi, and we're back.
I'm Regina Spektor and I get to host radio for this one moment in October.
That was [B] amazing.
Regina Spektor, ladies and gentlemen.
[D#] Introducing her own like a virgin this [D] morning on Triple J.
I like it a lot.
I like it [N] a lot.
Now, you play your original in front of this beautiful grand piano.
We're moving away from
the grand piano now and moving into a small electric keyboard.
Yeah, because, well, I had it borrowed for the hotel room just to practice on and I found
this sound on it so then I thought I'd just do it on the keyboard.
But we'll see.
You
guys will figure out if it sounds like crap or not.
Well, it depends what song you're playing.
And you haven't revealed, you left us with
the juicy surprise what you're playing, not
What is it?
It's no surprise.
[C#] What a payoff.
I see what you've done there.
Radiohead's No Surprises from their OK Computer record,
a beautiful song.
Why did you choose this one?
I love Radiohead so much and I love all their records but OK Computer has [F#] an extra [G#m] most
special spot in my heart.
And this is a song that I did for a charity and it's just out
a couple of days ago.
And the [Em] money from it is going towards Doctors Without Borders
which is an amazing [N]
charity where doctors go into places and provide medical relief
in hard hit countries.
And right now [F#] they're going into Haiti, [B] Chile where they've been
for a [F#] while ever since the earthquakes have happened in both [F] places.
So, even if you don't
like my version, you should still [Em] go and get it.
[N] I think it's like $1.29 and the money
is going towards Doctors Without Borders.
And Radiohead were kind enough to give their
part of the song, of my cover, towards it too.
So, yeah, all of it's gonna go.
Oh, lovely.
Excellent.
Well, this is the two geniuses coming together I think.
Virginia's back on Radiohead on Triple J this morning.
Please do the honours, Virginia.
