[Gb] Well, it's the first time I've ventured into the [G] area of doing any kind of tutorial [D] DVD,
[A] and [Gb] I've really [D] found it quite challenging [Bb] and [D] really good fun, because when I play what I play,
I just do it naturally, [Ab] I don't think [D] about it that much, I just do it.
When you actually [B] come to break it down and analyse it, [A] it's quite different.
And when you do think [D] about it, it's actually harder to play [G] [A] and to [C] get it across [A] to somebody else.

[C] [D] Well, what you can look forward to [G] on [F] this DVD is, [D] I've gone [F] back over 40 years with Quo and [G] picked out four or five songs,
and I've just [D] broken them down,
[Bb] just kind of showing people [D] my role as the [C] rhythm guitarist with Quo,
and [D] how to hit the power chords and the gauge of strings and different tunings and all sorts of things like that.
And hopefully I've covered everything, in as [Ab] much as the way that I play.
[Gb] I [A] hope people will enjoy it [F] and hopefully learn from it.
It's steady, there are only three chords.

[D] The tracks I've chosen [Bb] are [F] Caroline, which is [Bb]
a classic, [Gb] straight down the line [F] boogie,
[Bb] and Whatever You Want, with the classical intro [F] on it.
A lot of people say [C] it's classical.
[F] Warm, [C] Hold You Back, which has got another great [A] riff [F] intro on [Bb] it.
And Rain, which is a good, something typical Quo [A] rocker.
I love them all.
[F] A mystery song, I love it.
[A] And throughout those songs, all the [Gbm] just [A] full on playing, the power chords,
and some of the intricacies that occur, which I'm quite surprised myself that they're in there,
when you break them down and look at them.
[Bb] It's [A] been really interesting, I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

You know, when people are watching this DVD, I think it's [Bb] important to know [A] that it may appear easy,
but there [D] are no [A] shortcuts.
You've got to learn it and then you've got to practice it.
Because it's one thing playing it, and it's another thing [F] playing it properly [D] with conviction.
[C] And [A] that will take a while.
But the foundation is there from the [D] various Quo songs that I've played.
The foundation [A] of the rocky rhythm is [D] there.
[Bb] It will take [Ab] time, and it will [C] take a lot of practice.
[Dm] That's all there [Am] for the moment.
