[Em] Hi guys, back to do another lesson, this time for the Stones.
You can't always get what you want.
This song is in open G tuning and it's pretty simple.
It's only a matter, you know, it's only, there's only a couple different chords in it, in the song.
Once you have that in that tuning and you capo it up, there's, you know, it's not a
very hard song once you've done that.
[C]
[F] And that's the main change.
That's in open G, so that's G.
Change this to C.
[F]
[C]
[C]
[Am] And you can add your ring finger to the high E string, [F]
or D I should
say because it's tuned down.
Just for a change and a [Bbm] different way to play the chords.
But [Eb] when it changes,
[G] [C]
[Am] [F]
What [D] if you try sometime?
[F]
[C]
[F]
[Cm] That change is [D]
A to
[F]
[Cm] C.
And there's a little bit of [Bb] a hammer on there on the A part.
[D]
[F]
Go to C, [D]
[C] [F]
back to the main chords.
[N]
There's a part about two thirds into the song where there's a little interlude and during
that part, well excuse me, during that part Keith Richards is [G] playing kind of like an
A minor type [Dm] chord.
[C]
[D]
[F]
[G] So to go over that again, A minor, [Dm]
[C] slides up to, must become B minor.
[D] [A] Oh I jumped the gun a little [G] bit, I'm sorry.
A [Dm] minor,
[Em] B minor, and you [Eb] stretch your second and third fingers [C] out.
Back to [D] A, back
[F] to the C,
[C] and then back to the regular chords.
[F]
[C]
And I [Bm] mean as long as you know the chords it [F] should be fairly simple, it's just what
varies is how hard he's strumming the strings and the rhythm of those chords.
It seems to [Db] just, there are [Gm] certain parts, like in the very beginning obviously [C]
it's
[F] he's strumming very, very [Cm] lightly and when the rhythm [Em] really picks up he's [C] strumming
harder and faster.
[F]
[C]
[F]
[C]
[F]
[A]
And the [Eb] only other thing that I can really think [N] of to mention is at the end there's
a little bit of a part, a little bit of a [Eb] blues lick he's [C] adding.
[F]
[C] When he goes to the G part, instead of just playing the, he switches to
[F] [C]
