Oh I like to walk on a bright clear day hey hey hey, [Ab] Oh I like to walk on a bright clear
[Bb] day hey hey hey And I like to run on a bright clear day hey
hey Yes [Ab] I like to run on a [F] bright clear day hey
[Bb] hey hey We [N] are going to call it Go Wagaloo.
and it's a collection of songs that we
sang going down the road at the top of our lungs, going in the bathtub,
in the kitchen while cooking, in the house.
Some of the songs
have been written by Olivia and Johnny.
There's some songs that Woody wrote
fifty years ago and he didn't record them and so
there were just lyrics on a page and I got a folder of those
from [Bb] the Smithsonian that asked me to put some music to these lyrics
and so I took about [N] three of them.
There were many
It was actually the Smithsonian that called us and said,
[Bb] hey would you guys be interested in [B] making a family record that doesn't want to make
you jump out of [Am] a minivan.
[G]
[Dm] We have the extended family [C] that's actually on the record
which includes [G] her cousins, my nieces and [A] nephews.
I got my dad to come over, ride his motorcycle [Dm] over
with his [E] ukulele strapped on his back.
And my [Gm]
[B] Pete Seeger.
[Gm] Our Pete Seeger.
Everybody's Pete Seeger is on [G] this record.
[Dm] We made a record that [C] the whole family can enjoy, I [Gb] think.
And it's really nice when you can kind of just settle into [C] something that makes you actually [E] listen.
[A] Listen for the instruments.
Oh that's a neat instrument that they're playing.
It's not just like this rock band that's coming at you.
Well those are my pants but they're your pants [D] now.
They look better on you [E] anyhow.
Sewn down the line with lots of loving cause why?
[A] Cause because.
We had been thinking about making a children's record for [Eb] a while
because [D] we had all these songs that were piling up
and songs that we actually thought were pretty good.
I mean we [C] hadShowSh and Tell was a big one for us. I took a spider to show and [F] tell. It didn't go over very [C] well. The teacher ran out the door and yelled, Don't bring this back to show and tell. We went down to Olivia's kindergarten class [F] and kind of wrote it in that and it was totally inspired by the [C] real scenario where you know they said, What [G] do we take to show and tell [C] this morning? And Johnny says, Why don't you take me to show and tell? And we sang this [F] song all the way there. [C] As far as making this kind of record, the [G] time was just right. [C] It was very exciting. I'm very proud. And nobody's jumping out of the [F] minivan yet. [Dm] We've tested it. [C] Take me to show and tell. [G] Take me to show [C] and tell. How did I do this time?
[Bb] day hey hey hey And I like to run on a bright clear day hey
