What do you say one more from David?
Well, thank you very much you're really a nice audience, you know
You know, the problem is is I don't know anything else
We're just start from the top
What pity the gesture yeah,
[N] really yeah, okay
I
Tell you what, I'll
[E]
[A] [E]
[B] I'll tell you what.
I'll play a Scottish piece which is
[G]
[Db] But there's a Scotsman here
This is a is a thing that I it's a bagpipe tune which I arranged for the guitar [G] for some
Scottish folk singer friends of mine
And they're [A] very much purists [Ab] and they [Eb] they didn't appreciate what I did with the piece.
[G] I
Tried to make it as pure as I could I mean being it it was a bagpipe tune [Bb] and I
[F] [Eb] I did change it [G] into I did sort of what I considered sort of Scottish version
And then I sort of did an American version which added a little swing to the whole thing
[Em] but it didn't go down very well [Bb] [G] and
but I still play [E] it I
don't see them [D] very awful and
[Cm] What I try to do with this piece is to make [G] the guitar sound like a bagpipe now with all this
[B]
With now it actually works better than to get than trying to get a piano sound out of it.
Hey
This is uh, it's called Scotland the brave and you recognize it right off even if you don't know the melody or don't know the name
[Eb]
And
Like I say the first part I I try to be original with it and the second part is this a little bit of swing
[Eb] At the end of the piece I kind of do a little sort of a country dance thing.
I just sort of made up
Nailed [D] it on the end of it
[G] It's called the tailpiece is [G] called dance number one.
[D] I
Decided I'd be more honest.
I've only written one
[Em]
