[A] It's nature's way of receiving [G#] you.
[C#m] [A] [A]
[C#m] It's nature's [A] way of receiving you.
[E] [F#] It's nature's way of receiving you.
It's nature's way of receiving you.
Okay, an old 70's song from the Spirit that I'm sure you've heard before, but maybe you didn't know it was the Spirit [E] because I didn't know until I heard it.
A quick little demo and then we'll break down.
[G#]
[E]

[A] [C#m]
[A] [E]
[B] [E]
[G#]
[E]
Okay, let's break that down.
[Em] It starts off [A] with an A chord.
You'll see a bunch of, [F#] there's a couple of lessons on YouTube.
I feel a little different from those [E] lessons.
I'm just putting third and fourth string on the second fret.
[Am] And then I'm using my pinky finger, and use your pinky finger, I'll show you why in a minute, to [B] bar [F#] the third string on the fourth [E] fret.
And I want to get [F#] the second, first and second strings [Am] ringing open.
[E] So I strike the A note.
Try that again, strike the A note.
So I'm just hammering [G] on the third string on the fourth [E] fret.
[A] I suppose you can do it this way if you're having a hard time keeping the [E] first and second open.
It's [Em] important not to bar [Bm] the, [E] you're not going, [B]
you're just hitting the third string there.
It doesn't sound too bad like that.
I kind of like it open.
So the reason I'm [A] saying use the pinky finger is you're going to have to hit, [F#] and whether it's [F#m] implied or it's there or not, maybe it's [E] just hearing things.
[A]
That's C sharp.
Before it goes into the A flat chord.
So, [E] I'll show you what I mean.
[A] That's a C sharp note.
And [F#] then go into your A [D#] flat chord.
[G#]
So it makes it [E] easier as opposed to going.
[A]
[D#] [G#] Which you can do I suppose [Am] if you want, but I find it easier to use my [F#] hammer on finger.
[F#m] And it's already in position for the A [D#] flat chord.
[F#] So that finger strikes that note first and as [F#m] it's coming to hit that, that's buying me some time until the rest of the fingers catch up [G#] and.
[G#] And then right to the A.
So again, [E] A. And.
Everyone through training for.
[A] And it's open.
[E] I'm on the third string.
[A]
[A] [G#]
[E]
[C#m] C sharp.
[A]
To [C#] C sharp.
[A]
A. To [B] B.
And then you go [E] into a E.
[B] To B.
[A] A.
And that's the chord.
So [E] basically you're at A with the hammer on.
[G#] And then A.
The A flat.
To the A.
Chorus.
[C#m]
C sharp minor.
It's nature's [A] way of receiving you.
[B] B.
[A] Back to C sharp [C#m] minor.
[A] To the [B] A.
To the B.
[E]
E.
[B]
[A] [E]
[D] Anyway, good campfire [Cm] song.
Pretty easy to learn.
Thanks for watching.
[C#m] [A] [A]

[E] [F#] It's nature's way of receiving you.

So it makes it [E] easier as opposed to going.
[A]
[D#] [G#] Which you can do I suppose [Am] if you want, but I find it easier to use my [F#] hammer on finger.
