insanity we
this a bit very successful ad in Australia
embarrassed about because I shouldn't do that prostitute yourself you can prostitute yourself every other way you know
[Ab] done various ads for them very [Ebm] very successful one we did
down was in this [B] kind of it's all right
it was very I don't know very acoustic he sounded
Similar to the way we've done this [Bb] album, and it was [Am] mocked up in a film [Bb] studio that our manager

_ _ _ _ _ insanity we
We were doing this a bit very successful ad in Australia
Which you know news I was got very embarrassed about because I shouldn't do that prostitute yourself you can prostitute yourself every other way you know
And we've [Ab] done various ads for them very [Ebm] very successful one we did
[Abm] One of the verses of down down was in this [B] kind of it's all right
Yeah, I'll do it now that kind of and _ _ _ it was very I don't know very acoustic he sounded
Similar to the way we've done this [Bb] album, and it was [Am] mocked up in a film [Bb] studio that our manager
Something in a [F] round somewhat similar to the Presley thing that they did blah blah blah
So I went along with it and did it for [Bb] the edge
You know but there was something happened on that day.
We were all thinking this is quite a something here
And at the time he said do you want to do that and I think Rick was [Eb] interested in
I'm the idea of it, and I wasn't at all was it just
[F] Completely wrong idea at the time and whether or not one could get you know X tracks and make them all work
We just got into one of those chats.
You know [Ab] and it just came about about you know
[Bb] About doing [Fm] some of the tracks [Bb] acoustically you know on stage instead of doing no one why don't we do a whole album?
acoustic
_ Yeah
Sounds like a good idea.
No, and it was just it just sounded like an idea
you know that [Ab] we could go [Eb] away and think about and and
Maybe it happened.
Maybe it wouldn't you [Bb] know
So we started rearsing a couple of things up.
You know and it sounded really good the two [F] guitars together.
You know and
[Eb] Then it became evident that really we should change [Bb] the arrangements of a lot of things
you know and do them in a vastly different way if [F] we're going to do this do it [Bb] properly and make it very different and
And it's turned out amazingly well.
I mean most things that we've done over the years the kind of
_ Whatever
_ _ _ Would have been written like that and down down would have been written like that and loads of stuff [D] would have been written on acoustic
[F] _ [C] _ _
[G] _ [Ab] So you tend to chime when we got [Gm] you we had some of that I suppose and then with their testicles and
And I'm doing [Bb] this album you suddenly realize that
I'm not [F] necessarily saying it was good or bad
But [G] you have to fill up the thing you've got this nice piece of melody which has always been interesting with quality
It's kind of cute little melody this friggin [C] noise at the what's going [G] on there?
_ [D] And we've done a couple of three tracks
[Am] And got in in there and we were doing [G] paper plane [Bb] again, it just couldn't change much
[F] Doesn't change too much.
[G] I thought it's not gonna work.
Most of the ones we've tried
are all very and
By the [D] end of the day or whatever and I stood in the control room for well, so I've always liked paper plane
There's a melody
And I think that's when it's kind of dawned on everybody in that.
I really like paper plane
Kind of like it more although it's it's
It's not electric in any way.
It really [A] rocks and the
tracks like Caroline [D] it changes tempo three times, you know and to do songs like
_ And it's better now.
We've never done live and stuff, you know to do them on acoustic.
[A] That's so beautiful and
And for [D] you
Which is always not just because I wrote it
But just one of my favorite songs and to get an opportunity to do that, especially with some string sections
I mean there's been a lot of hair standing on a lot of [A] arms, you know, wow, so lovely and
I actually [Bm] started well enough [A] when I was singing [D] it and I said I can't have any of that, you know do it again
I said, all right, I'll try and I'm well enough, you know, but it brings back so many memories to me
When I [A] wrote it, you know of the wonderful or bad old days, whichever [D] you want to call them, you know
and there are a [F] lot of drugs around and you [C] know, but you know, [D] I
Thoroughly [F] enjoying myself [D] in those days and [F] as I am now in a [C] much different way
I [B] don't ever [E] been this enthused about something
[A] _ [D] I
Don't know.
It's very difficult until we said shit.
It's the fan literally, you know
Oh blimey, that's I know often say that there are various things [A] we've done in their career sometimes
they [D] look like a fantastic was a great move guys and
Do with us [Fm] the rocking all over the world period people [F] kept saying just great timing
[Eb] Don't it to do with [Dm] us the time we started three months early the drummer [C] broke his foot so [F] things happen
So the same with this you might [G] I'm not be looking to talk to you next year.
Jesus.
[A] That was a mistake one
You know, I think you [D] recover from that and then it could be the best thing we've ever done
I think it will surprise a lot of people because you know rather than let's put [A] some crow on and
Headbang you you can actually [D] I was sitting out on the terrace
I live in Spain now and it [F] was a beautiful evening and [C] just sitting out the back listening to this album and a couple of
[F] Tracks just sit there with your feet up.
[D] They're so peaceful and [F] tranquil and
[C] There's it [B] there's a couple of tracks on there [E] that people are going to go.
No, surely not [A] that
[G] Can't [D] be like don't drive my car.
Surely not.
I can't be say as quote surely.
It's that different
It's so different.
It sounds like
[Em] Stefan Grappelli [Am] and Jango Reinhardt, you know, [G] if I may be so bold
[F] _ [C] But it's it's just been a great [G] experience [A] recording it, you know
Everything's [E] different and I think it throws [G] a whole different dynamic and a different [D] color over the band in general, you know
And I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised
There's obviously going to be some people are going to go what a load of shit, you [A] know
Which the rule was are but you can't please everybody all the time
[D] otherwise you'd
You'd be Madonna, wouldn't you?
Don't know what I mean by that
