Jam Along & Learn...
I had to learn all these songs.
There's loads of them.
haven't played some of these, obviously, for 40 years.
My mind isn't going, thank you very much.
It's not that.

_ _ It's not that.
It's not that.
It's not that.
No, no, no, no, no.
_ [G] I had to learn them.
I had to go through the set.
I realized that in those days we made LPs. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Db] _ _ [D] LPs, you know, in violin. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [N] That's 18 minutes a side.
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Eb] I was reading them.
We realized when we finished mixing the tracks, Alan Parsons, my engineer and I, that [N] _ Made
Me Smile was a potential single. _ _ _
Who'd have known?
_ _ _ It was Jeremy Clarkson put it, me. _ _ _ _
_ Clarkson put it.
What did he say about me?
I was watching it.
It [Ab] was so funny.
That talked to you.
Let's [Ab] face it, he said, he's eking [D] out a meager living from [G] one song. _ _ _ _
_ [N] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ Beautiful.
_ Beautiful.
_ That was the week it went global. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Eb] _ That's funny.
[G] _
_ _ _ [Gb] _ _ _ [N] _
And I thought, I'm not going to sing that.
It's track five in this set of live.
_ Do that song.
Why would I do it here?
And play the rest of the show to a half house?
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
Every morning I used to walk into Abbey Road.
We made the album in November and December 74.
And every morning I would walk in with a new song for the guys.
_ _ Which we would record mostly.
It wouldn't finish.
It wouldn't be a finished product at the end of that day.
Obviously, it didn't work that way.
We'd make a backing [Ab] track and get the basics down.
[Gm] And I'd go in most mornings _ and sit [N] them down and routine them in a sort of semi-circle
with guitars and _ piano.
_ [B] And one morning I went in with it. _
And the thing I can demonstrate for you is the way I presented it to them 41 years ago. _
_ _ It didn't have the chords in it that have the solo over.
I wrote those later and I said to Alan Parsons, _ _ _ _
that's going to be a tenor sax [Gm] solo. _ _ _
And in the room, the only other person in the room [N] that overheard this was Jim.
_ _ _ A shy and retiring lead guitarist.
_ I'm never going to meet one of them. _ _ _ _ _ _
And they were _ so_ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ He said, let me try that on acoustic guitar. _ _ _ _
_ Why not?
[G] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ [G] _ You've done [F] it all
_ _ [C] _ _ [G] Broken every code
_ _ [F] _ _ You [G] called the rebel _ to the floor _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ You [F] spoiled the game
_ _ [C] _ No matter [G] what you say
_ _ [F] _ _ _
[C] For only metal, [G] what a bore
[Em] _
[G] Blue _ _ _ [F] _ _ [D]
eyes, [C] blue eyes
_ _ [F] _ _ [D]
How come you tell so [G] many _ lies?
_ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
Come [F] up and see me
[A] Make [C] me smile _
[G] Yeah, yeah
[D] Boy, [G] I'll do what [F] you want
_ [C] Running wild
[G] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ There's [F] nothing left
[D] It's all gone, [G] I'm run away _
_ [F] _ _ _ [D] Maybe you'll carry _ [G] for a while
_ _ It's _ _ _ _ _ [F] just a test _
[D] A game for [G] us to play _
_ [F] _ _ _ [G] Win or lose, it's hard to smile
_ Show _ _
_ [F] _ _ [D] _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ [C] me yourself, you [G] have to hide _ _ _ _
_ [Dm] _ _ [Em] Come [F] up and see me
[C] Make me _ _ _ [G] smile _
[Dm] Whoa, _ [Em] I'll do what [F] you want
[G] Running wild
[C] _ [G] There _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Dm] ain't no more
_ [G] _ [C] You've taken _
[G] _ everything
_ _ [F] _ _
[D] My belief [G] in Mother Earth _
How _ _ _ _ _ [F] come you ignore
[D] My faith in [G] everything?
_ _ _ [F] _ _
I know what [C] faith is
_ [G] _ _ _
And what it's worth
_ _ [F] _ Go [C] away, away
_ [G] _ [F] _ _
Don't [C] say
Maybe [G] you'll try _
_ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ Come [F] up and see me
[C] Make me _ [G]
smile
_ _ [D] Whoa, I'll do what [F] you want _ [C] Running _ [G] wild
