This is the brand new Ernie Ball Musicman L3.
I suppose it's a takeoff from the Luke model, but I thought, you know, maybe not everybody
wants to have my name on their guitar and they would want to use the guitar, so this
is just a little reminder of where this is coming from.
What I was kind of going for with this, with the guys, you know, with Dudley and Sterling,
sort of a hybrid between a Strat and a Les Ball.
This is the BFR, and this has an alder body with a mahogany tone piece on it, which gives
it that little groovy look on top right here.
The pickups in this guitar are the transition pickups, the DiMarzio has the five position
switch here, you can get various combinations, you can find some interesting stuff in here.
You [A] have the, [E]
[D] [E] [D]
that's just a straight ahead, you know, the back pickup, and you have a
really warm [B] tone.
[G#]
[G] [F#]
[C#m] [Em]
[Bm]
[G] And the split coil,
[A] [C]
this guitar comes with a 15 dB boost at the touch of your finger,
that way you don't have to step on a pedal if you're somewhere else on the stage, you
just want to get a little something.
Now here's without it, you [E] know, and here's with it.
And sometimes if you mess with the tone controls here you get a real nice squawky sound.
