One of my favorite Stevie Wonder B-sides is Purple Raindrops, released as the B-side to Uptight in November of 1965.
It was written by Stevie's tutor Ted Hull.
He wrote it, I guess, on a Saturday morning, like in 15-20 minutes.
The song was actually recorded December 4th, 1963, so it was in the can almost two years.
And there's a rumor that Mickey Stevenson wasn't too happy that this song was on the B [D#]-side.
