[E] [A]
Hi guys, [E] today we're going to learn the triplet technique [F#] and bear with me, this is my very
first ukulele tutorial but I thought I would do one.
[C] So today we're just going to be focusing on the right hand which is going to be doing this.
And I'm going to break that down for you.
[Cm] So ways you can incorporate this is that you can play it over any chord, even the C chord.
[F] [G] [C] So I hope to see you guys playing with it.
So we're going to start with our thumb and the thumb is only going to be playing on the
G, the C, and the E.
So G, C, the top three strings.
Just like that.
[G] Now the middle and the pointer in the middle is only going to be playing on the A string,
the bottom string, and it's just going to be [Am] doing middle, pointer, middle, pointer.
Kind of like you're walking but with your fingers.
Sometimes [F#] I like to anchor with the other [Am] fingers so you're not all over the place.
So you can do this or you can do this, either way.
So after you've got that, we're going to put [Dm] both of [G] these together now.
So for every thumb stroke you do, you want to follow it with [E] a middle pointer.
Now remember the middle pointer is only on the bottom string and the thumb [C] is on the
top three strings.
So you're going to follow every [G] thumb with the middle pointer.
[Am]
And then you go back [G] to the G.
[C]
[G] Let's try it together.
So we're going to start with our thumb and follow with the middle on the pointer.
Ready?
And thumb, middle, pointer, thumb, middle, [Am] pointer, thumb, back to the top.
[G] Thumb, middle, pointer, thumb, [Am] middle, pointer, thumb, [G] top.
Good.
A little faster now.
[D] [C]
[G] [F#] So the ways that I [A#] incorporate is I like to play it with [A] maloquena, [Am] [A] but I can play [Dm] it
[G] [A] [A#] or even furries.
[A] [Am] [E] [Am]
[C] And I also like to play it over any chord.
So you could play the C chord like I said.
[G#] [Am] And A minor.
[G] So anything.
You can play it throughout your song and I think it sounds really nice and soft.
So [C] I hope you enjoy it.
See you later.
