_ _ _ _ Hey Takamine lovers and fingerstyle guitarist, I'm Lance Allen and I'm here to tell you
about this new guitar that Takamine has sent to me.
It's a TC _ -135SC.
It's a hybrid classical guitar.
It's built similar to a steel string, yet [Abm] it has certain classical attributes, such
as the nylon strings and the pegged slot head.
It has a solid spruce top on it _ _ _ with a beautiful rosewood back and sides, and that's solid as well. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ It has a nice mahogany neck _ _ _ _ _ _ and it's measured 1 7 8ths inch at the nut.
This allows you to play in between the strings with your fingers and it's comfortable to
play, and it's not as bulky as [Gb] standard classical guitars.
It has really smooth tuners and a cool artsy design [N] on the tuners.
This guitar comes equipped with a famous tube preamp called the CTP-2.
It's actually got a tube in there and it's a real cool tube.
It's not warm to the touch and it has a built in chromatic tuner.
Something I like about this tuner is that when you turn it on and you hit the button
a second time, it'll actually mute the output of the [Ab] guitar so that you're not going to
bug your [Abm] friends when they're tuning as well.
_ And then you can turn it off.
But it's great that it's a chromatic tuner.
You can tune in to alternate tunings and do different things.
So I'm going to play this guitar a little bit so you can hear it unplugged and plugged in.
I've got stereo microphones and I also have the guitar plugged in so you can hear [G] the
pickup a little bit.
And once I get to the plugged in section, I'll take the tube out because there's a [Ab] knob
on here for the tube and [N] then put it back in.
It sounds really good with the tube in it.
_ Another thing about this guitar is it's great for many styles of guitar playing.
So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to call out a few styles, play a little bit
of that, and demonstrate how this is great guitar for all those styles.
So it's great for fingerstyle like I [E] was playing earlier. _ _ _ _ _

_ _ _ [A] _ [E] _ _ It's also great for classical.
[F] _ _ [Gb] _ [Dm] _ _ _

It's good [G] for the flamenco guys out there that like to play [Am] flamenco guitar.

[E] Now let's try that without [Abm] the tube preamp in it and we'll hear what it sounds like plugged out.
So I'm going to [Am] do a little bit.
I'm going to turn the tube preamp off.

_ _ So it's going to warm it up quite a bit.

This is great for chicken picking for those guys out there that like country guitar.
