Hey everyone, it's Sina.
For today we prepared a little collaboration between Jaden Riley, Charlotte's Own and myself.
In order to avoid duplicate content, we uploaded only on Jaden's channel.
It sounds something like this.

Make sure to have a look.
Over here it's only talking, today no drumming.
There is one subject that I would like to address today.
I usually don't talk about money, but today I have to.
[N] When I finished high school two years ago, my YouTube channel was about to take off.
So I did not go to university and I did not go for a daytime job, but I became a full-time drummer.
[F#] And I spent most of my time building my channel.
[E]
Me and my little team also built up our musicians networking brand, Your [A] SoundTube.
Those two years were amazing and some incredible things happened.
I worked with [E] a lot of great musicians from all over the globe and the amount of my subscribers multiplied by 20 within two years.
[A] Usually a channel with that many subscribers makes a lot of money.
But [E] that's not the case for a music channel like mine, because most of the views on my channel are generated by [A] covers of copyrighted music.
That means, although my videos get monetized, all [G#m] the money goes to owners of these songs.
I [F#m] do not want to complain, it's fair enough.
They own the songs, they let me use them, they collect the money and I get some exposure, which is awesome.
But I can't make my living with playing covers.
The solution for me was joining Patreon, exactly two years ago.
[A] Today I have 400 patrons, which [E] is absolutely stunning.
It's those patrons of mine who fund my channel, including my original [A] album that just launched
and the collaborations [E] that were released on our digital album Your Songbook.
There's another cover album coming up in two or three weeks, also [A] funded by my patrons.
Those guys pay for all my releases, for my gear and they funded my year at [E] Drummer's Institute.
I absolutely understand that Patreon is not for everyone.
It takes time to sign up, it's a bit confusing in the beginning
and at the end of the day you can see [E] all my videos for free without being a patron, so that's perfectly fine.
[A]
Now YouTube has rolled out a new feature, which they call [G#m] Channel Membership,
which is a bit of an alternative to Patreon [F#m] and it's basically direct funding [G#m] of a channel via YouTube,
without a third party [D] service like Patreon.
My channel qualifies for this new feature and after discussing the pros [Am] and cons with my patrons,
I decided to make [E] use of it.
I understand that some people hate the thought of paying money [A] to YouTube
and I can assure those people that absolutely nothing will [E] change for them
if they don't sign up for the Channel Membership option.
I will go ahead and produce one video per week, just like I did for the last two [A] years.
They will be free for everyone,
they won't be any disadvantage for anybody who [E] does not want to support my channel financially.
If you consider to support my channel directly [A] via YouTube, you can hit that Join button.
It will cost you 5$ or Euros per month [G#m] and you will get some perks like a channel badge,
you will get access to [F#m] some behind the scenes footage to my inner circle blog
and I will try to make my new videos [F#m] available one day earlier for all members [G#m] and for patrons of course.
Again, if this is not for you, please do not hate me, just ignore the new feature,
you won't have any disadvantage if you do [A] not use it.
[E]
That's all I wanted to say about this subject.
Just to explain what this Join button is all about and I [A] won't mention it again.
Please don't forget to check out our new [E] collaboration, you can find the link [E] below.
See you next week.
