guys, thanks for watching.
I wanted to start releasing videos a bit quicker so if it comes to releasing partials that's fine.
[N] Today we got just the music, the guitars and piano.
It's a ballad of John and Yoko.
Leaving out the drums and bass, we'll get those in there later.
For the [Abm] guitar in this one, [E] there's actually [Eb] five guitars I [A] think.
We've got [Ab] John or someone doing like kind of [G] a [C] snare sound.
I've read either an acoustic or it kind of sounds to me like he's just doing that so
that's what I did for [Gb] the video.
It could be the back of an acoustic [Eb] as well.
For the rhythm [C] in this one, it's not [Bb] necessarily just playing a straight eighth note pattern.
There's accents going along kind of like you're thinking the drum [Em] part in your head while
you're playing it.
So it's not just [E] a
[C] there's [Gb] music to it.
There's rhythm with it.
[E] He's [Db] [C] accenting those two and fours.
[Em] You kind of think that in your head as you're playing with it.
Another thing, playing too close to the sound hole, that can darken your [Bb] tone and also make
it more [C] dynamic.
So one thing I like to do is strum closer to [E] the bridge.
That gives [Bbm] you a brighter tone and I would say more consistent as well.
So you're not getting those [E] loud
sometimes you get an E string [F] that's making [E] all that vibration noise.
When you pick it down here, it [Gm] can be a little
the string [Eb] length is wobbling less I would
[E]
say.
You can hear that, [Gb] how it's brightening [E] up.
I [A] think a lot of [Em] times John actually picked down here and you can even see on [Ab] his guitar
there's a bit of a where mark [C] right [G] through here.
Not necessarily down here, you can see there's a pick mark [E] right here.
This is where he's picking.
Right through there.
[Em] That's pretty much the whole John part for this song.
He just goes to the A for the chorus [B] and then the B.
[C] For the Casino part, I'll just keep going with the acoustic.
The Casino, those bends, [Em]
they're quick bends.
[G] [Am] And you have to make sure you get to that top note [Abm] too, you can't have that half bend
or quarter [Em] bend.
[G] That's not right.
It's gotta [Bb] be
with [Gb] that full C sharp.
[G] And it's [Em] quick too.
It's not that slow stuff.
And then of course [Gb] he varies the way [G] he does it and [Gb] it's double tracks [Bb] so you have
[Gb] going over there [Em] like that.
[C] And then the [G] chorus [F]
is one of those basic riffs.
[E] [Gbm] [E] [Ebm] [Bb] [Eb]
[B] [Gm] It's just this same [Ab] pattern three [Ebm] times on each [G] chord.
[B] [Em] Sliding down from one inversion to another.
So if you're on the [Eb] A, this is the [G] A.
[A] Just like that A and just like that A.
But you're [Bb] working off just these two notes out of the A.
[Eb] [A] [E] Sliding down.
So that one's the [Ebm] E and then the [Bb] B.
[B] Same deal.
Here's your B.
[G] [B]
And then towards [E] the end he [Gbm] walks it up.
[E]
[A] [Gm] [E] [B] For the B.
[Gbm]
[Gm] [E] [C] And then besides [Eb] that you just got some piano and [E] then
[G] and then the guitar chucks.
[C] [E] And that's pretty [Bb] much the whole song.
