[E] Hi, today we'll be learning how to play She Talks to Angels.
Now we're just going to learn how to strum the chords in standard tuning.
This tutorial is aimed at folks who just want to play these chords and sing along with the
song without detuning.
We're going to start with an E chord and then we'll be going to an A chord, but we'll be
playing it like this.
[F#m] Just going down like that.
[E] [F#m] [E]
Okay.
[B] We'll also be using a couple of suspended chords, especially when we get to the bridge.
Now if there's any chords here you don't understand or not sure how to make, use my chord tutorial
link at the bottom of the page or in the description and it'll take you to a tutorial that details
these chords and shows you how to play them and properly get all the notes in there.
Alright, we're going to be starting [E] again with an E major chord like that.
And what we're going to do is go straight down [B] with the hand and hold down an A like that.
[E] And then come back up.
So it's like this.
Now what this really is is an [F#m] A6 if we include [F#] the high E string, but we're really after
that A.
So [E] you can try to avoid the high E.
But if you put it in there, it's okay.
So it sounds like this with the high [F#m] E and without the [E] high E like [A] that.
[E] So you can strum it in such a way that you get the sound that you want.
But basically what we're going to be doing is going like this.
Down, down, up, [B] down, up, down, up.
Okay.
So we went to the E, E three times and then the [F#m] A, E, A, [E] E.
So when we go down, we strum [B] downward.
Come up, strum upward.
So it's like [E] this.
[B]
Just like that.
Real easy.
Now that's going to get you through all the [N] verses of the song.
Now, when we get to the chorus, we're going to have to play a B chord [B] like this.
We're going to have to bar that B chord and then a [A] regular A chord.
And that's going to go something like [B] this.
[A]
[E] See you back.
[F#m] [E] Okay.
So with [G#] the B, we did this.
So [G] our strumming for the B chord is like [B] this.
Down, down, up, down, up.
And then we're going to go to A.
[A]
So we've got this going on.
[B] Down, down, up, down, up.
[A]
Down, up, down, up, down, up.
Okay.
And that's our strumming pattern for the chorus.
Alright, the next thing we have is a bridge.
This is how we're going to play [G] the bridge.
[E]
[B] [E]
[B]
[E]
[N] So what we did there is we went to an E seven suspended two four.
[A] Like that.
Two and A.
And we're bouncing back and [G] forth.
Now we're strumming that like this.
Three down strums [B] and
[F#m] then an up strum.
[F#] So we're going for the E seven suspended two four, we're going [B] down, down, down, and then [A] up to the A.
[A#m] And then we'll go to the E [F#] chord and we'll strum down [E] once.
And then we'll put our finger in there, our pinky [D#] in there for the suspended four.
Strum it twice.
Up stroke on an E chord.
Down stroke on the E suspended four.
Up stroke on the E chord.
So that was.
Down, down, [F] up, down, up.
Again, that [E] was.
Down, [E] down, up, down, up.
So we went up here.
[F#] E seven suspended two four.
[Bm]
Down, down, down, up, [E] down, up.
That's what happened there.
[B] [E]
[A#] Now we're going to do that three times.
[D#] Then we'll go to the E seven suspended two four and strum it for eight beats.
Now we want to try to strum it [F] from that A string to give us a better sound.
So [B] it sounds like this.
[E] Then back to the E.
Like that.
So that was.
[B] One, two, three, four.
One, two, three, [E] four.
And that, [A#] friends, is our bridge.
And that's all you need to be able to [N] play
She Talks to Angels, strumming style by the Black Crows.
Now, if any of the chords were unfamiliar,
