[Eb] When you think of an inexpensive guitar, you probably think of something like a
Squier, or maybe a Dean [Eb] Vendetta, or maybe something like an Ibanez Geo.
These are all guitars that if you really search carefully, you can find these for around $100
brand new.
Well today, I'm going to show you a guitar that I bought off of eBay, brand new, including
shipping for $46.44.
And this is not a one-off guitar that somebody had sitting in their closet.
This is a regular production guitar that you [D] can go out and buy [B] right now.
So this guitar is [Db] basically a stripped-down strat copy by a company named Amun.
Don't ask me what that means, I have no idea.
Now as guitars go, this is about as basic as you can get.
We've got [B] 22 frets, we've got [Db] a maple neck, a maple fretboard, three single coil pickups
on a basswood body, it's got a vintage style tremolo, one volume, two tones, [Bb] and a five-way selector switch.
So I got this guitar, it shipped from within the United States, and right off [Ab] the bat,
this is a really nice looking guitar.
Even if you only use [Eb] this guitar for photos or for wall decoration, for less than $50,
it's already worth it.
Now for a guitar this inexpensive, I was expecting the fretwork to be really bad.
And the frets are not [B] very big, these are pretty much medium [Db]-sized frets, but the fret
[Bb] leveling is actually pretty good, and this is [B] a totally playable guitar.
Now there are definitely [Db] some cheap aspects of this guitar, like [F] whoever put the tuners
on had a little bit too much to drink, and there [Dbm] are some of the screws that are not
[Eb] countersunk that well.
But there's nothing about this guitar that makes it a bad instrument or difficult at
all to play.
So speaking of playing, let's go ahead and take a listen to how this sounds.
I'm gonna start with some clean tones, and then I'll go to some higher gain stuff.

[Ab] So one of my favorite things about this guitar is the finish on the body.
It's a basswood body, and there's [Bb] no veneer on top of it, so [Dbm] you can see the natural basswood
wood grain through the finish.
And of course the color scheme is just a basic sunburst finish.
So this should be no surprise, but the biggest downside to this guitar is the pickups.
These are bare bones, single coil pickups, and the output is really low.
[B] I've actually really enjoyed playing this guitar, so I'm probably gonna buy a preloaded
pickguard and just replace all of the pickups and electronics.
But I want to stress that the way that this guitar comes stock is totally playable.
Alright guys, I hope you enjoyed the review.
