In 1962, Booker T and the MGs recorded a song that was an absolute classic.

[Ab] [Bb] [Fm] [Ab] [Bb]
Sounds quite simple, and I suppose it is, but it's quite weird because he's playing a Bb.
While the song really starts in F [Fm] minor.
So you [E] would expect him to play something that would suit the [Fm] F minor key.
[Bb]
[Ab] That would make sense, but he doesn't do that.
He [A] slides [Bb] up two frets.
And he does.
[F] [Ab]
[Bb] [Ab] [Bb] And that just sounds more interesting, again a bit more jazzy.
Now he plays it on the 3rd, the [Eb] 8th and the [F] 10th fret.
So go grab your [Ab] guitar and [Bb] let's see [F] if we can play it [Ab] together.

It's what I can get it to say.
And [N] that's why I've always just maintained a real simple formula.
[Fm] That's quite jazzy.
And the right hand, just a couple of chords.

So first you learn [F] the notes.
