Hey guys, alright, so this is the attempt at a tutorial for Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
I'm not going to go note by note, but give you the general chords and then you can figure
out the bits in between.
It's pretty simple actually.
So it begins on an A minor and you play like this.
Alright, then you have a little slide [E] which is this.
Plus pull off.
[Em] Then you go to your E minor.
Same little slide and pull [A] off.
Then you go to [B] B7.
And then you have on the low E string that same pull off.
[E] And back to E minor.
[Em] [A] Alright, so that part makes sense.
That's part one.
Part two goes like this.
[Am] [Em]
[B] [A] [Em]
[C] It's basically the same chord sequence, you just play different strings.
You hold [Am] your A minor, then you go to [Em] E minor, and then B7.
Back to E, A minor.
[A] And these little licks, you can always decide what you want to do.
You can go, [B] so when you go from your B7, you can also do,
[Em] it'll catch on, it's pretty simple.
The [Am] next part is this.
[D] [Em] [E]
[B] [Em]
[G] In there again you have your A minor.
[Am] [D]
Plus here, second string.
Then you slide here, [Em] up [D]
from third fret to fifth fret.
[C] [E] Back to first fret.
And then you play your [Em] E here.
[E]
Go back, slide, [C] down, and then you go to your [B] B7.
And your little finish.
[Em]
That's that section.
And then comes this.
[Am]
[E] [Em]
[B]
Or something like that.
And that works pretty simple.
The beginning is [Gbm] A [Am] minor.
Then [D] [Am] slide up, fifth, [Abm] seventh with an [E] open E.
[Em] Back to your E.
Plus first string, third fret.
You hold it there.
And then you close in the typical [B] B7.
[Em] Alright.
[C]
Yeah, you can just rewind to see that again.
And then you have the next part which is very simple again.
[Am] Basically the same chords.
It goes.
[Em]
[B]
[Em] [Ab]
In that section you have the, so you take [Am] your A minor, play it up and down, up and
down, A minor.
[B] Then you go to E [Em] minor.
And [B] then B7, but this time your ending is [Eb] second string, second [A] fret.
[Eb] Then you go second string, fourth fret.
And then you go [Gbm] up to seventh.
[Em] And then you close on your E minor.
Alright.
And yeah, that's basically it.
Those are the [A] different parts of the song.
Then you can play around.
I think what happens is at one point you repeat this.
[Am] [Gb]
[Em] [B]
[Em] Alright.
Yeah, I hope that helps and good luck playing it.
