Ok, this is a very quick brief lesson on Ladies Night by Preston Reed.
Before we even talk
about tuning, the whole song is about rhythm and that rhythm is pretty easy to get if you
break it down.
So I'm going to play it for you nice and slowly here.
So it starts off
with a hit, tap, [Ab] [Eb] strum, strum, tap, hit, [F] up with the tongue, tap, strum, tap.
[N] So I'll
play it nice and slowly a few times so you can catch along with it.
If you [Eb]
[B] get used to
that rhythm you've [D] got 50% of the song done already and those [N] taps that you do will end
up being hammer-ons and pull-offs that will fill out the rest of the song rhythmically.
So [Cm] what you're getting, [Fm]
[F] [Fm]
[F] [Eb] [Fm]
[Db] and periodically you're going to have to use [Eb] the rest of your fingers
to kill the strings to get that [F]
[D] just at the end of the riff like that.
And the other main
[Em] riff when it really kicks off, it's just a variation on that [Eb] rhythm again.
So it's
just,
[F] [Fm] [Gm]
[Cm]
[Fm]
[Dm] and that little lick he does is, [G] you hammer-on on the two strings tuned to G, that's
the second and third strings, [Eb] hammer-on, [B] fifth, sixth, [F] strum down and hit the bottom two strings
and then [C] hammer-on the third and slide [F] down.
[Fm]
[Bb]
[Abm] Anyway, that's just a brief lesson for now,
I'll do a proper one soon, I promise for everyone who's asked.
Thanks for all the views
