Hi!
In this video you will play C chord.
In order to make C chord we need notes C, E and G.
That's because a chord is a combination of notes played together at the same time.
Please get your ukulele ready, make sure it's tuned, move any long sleeves or watches out of the way and let's get started.
So if you hold up your fretboard hand, find your third finger.
This is the ring finger, this is the finger you will use to make C chord.
Please do not use these fingers because we need them for other chords.
So find the red dot or the third fret on your ukulele.
1, 2, 3.
Use your ring finger there.
And that's the position for C chord.
Wait!
Don't play the chord yet.
We need to make sure that we have a good sound coming out of that string first.
If your ukulele sounds like this on the string you're holding down, then that's not a good sound.
That means that you need to press a little harder and then you should [C] have this sound.
That's going to make a good chord sound.
[Bb] Now let's play C chord.
I'm going to strum downward four times using the chunky part of my thumb.
Let's play together.
1, 2, [C] ready, go.
[Am]
1, 2, [Ab] again, [C] go.
[Am] [Bb] [Ab] One [C] more time, go.
[N] Please watch this video over and over again until you have mastered C chord.
Then move on to the next video which contains the next chord.
In the description below you will find a link to the video where I put the stickers on the ukulele.
I'll show you how to do that.
And you will also find a link to the chord charts that I made which show you which notes you're playing on each string.
I think that's super helpful in learning about chords.
