Hello, welcome!
In this video we are going to learn the chord progression C A minor F G7.
So get your ukulele ready, make sure that it's tuned, move any long sleeves or watches out of the way and let's get started.
To play this chord progression we are going to start off with C chord.
If you have the stickers it totally helps, but if you don't you can still learn it.
Okay, so I'm going to move closer just so you can see.
We're going to start off with C chord.
Please use your ring finger.
Trust me on this.
Okay, so we're going to do C strum once.
[C] Okay, now switch to A [N] minor with your middle finger.
Make sure that you're not touching the other strings when you're playing A minor.
[Am]
Go back to C.
[C] Now switch to [Am] A minor.
Okay, now I'm going to add a little bit of a beat to it.
We're going to play [N] C on beat one and A minor on beat one.
Okay, one two C [C] chord go.
Two [Am] switch to A minor.
Two back [C] to C.
Two back to A minor.
[Am] Two back to [C] C.
[N] Practice that over and over until it feels really natural.
If you can do this without strumming even better that'll help your muscle memory like learn it.
Okay, let's move to the next one.
We're going to do A minor to F.
So if you've been following my directions and using your middle finger for A minor,
then F should be really easy.
But remember, don't touch the other strings.
Make sure that this one and this one can still ring.
If they sound like this, it means that one of your fingers is touching it and it's not curved.
Curve it up.
Okay, so we're going to do A minor and F on beat one starting on A minor.
One two A minor [Am] go.
Two switch to F.
Two back to A minor.
Two back [F] to F.
Finish it [Am] on A minor.
[N]
Okay, now here's the challenge for you.
C, A minor and F.
We're going to do each one on beat one.
Okay, so we're going to do C, A minor, F and then back to C, A minor, F.
Okay, get ready on C.
Make sure that your finger is ready for A minor next.
Okay, so if your finger is way over here, you're not going to be very fast.
You need to be hovering over and ready to go for the next chord.
Okay, C, [C] two, ready, go.
Switch [Am] to A minor, go.
Switch to F, go.
Okay, again back to C.
We're ready for A minor and F.
One [Bb] two C chord, go.
[C] Two A [Am] minor, go.
Two F [F] chord, go.
[G] So the biggest challenge is going from F to G7,
but if you follow my [C] instructions, you will do it just fine.
Okay, so we're going to start on S.
Now watch closely.
Don't look at your ukulele, look at my hand real quick.
Look at my hand, look at my hand.
[Bb] Okay, this middle finger is going to go to this blue dot.
[N]
This ring finger is going to go here.
Now don't tell me, Miss B, it doesn't fit.
Because that means that your knuckles are parallel.
You need to angle up.
You need a [C] curve.
If you're curved, it'll fit.
So F to [Bb] G7.
Make sure you're not overlapping into fret three.
No, no, no, keep it up there.
So F to [Ab] G7.
Now let's try those two.
F to [Bb] G7, one, two, F chord, go.
[F] [G]
G7, go.
[Bb] F chord, ready, go.
[F]
[C] G7, [G] go.
Finish it [F] on F chord, go.
[N] So here's my challenge for you.
Without strumming, try it just only the left hand.
Or your right hand if you're a lefty.
Try only C, A minor, F, G7.
This way, without strumming.
C, A minor, F, G7.
Look at how my hand angles when I go from F, G7.
F, G7, try that.
Okay, so far so good.
Now we're gonna do my favorite part.
I'm gonna move closer again so you can see.
We're at G7.
All we have to do now is slide to C.
I'm gonna do that again.
G7, slide to C.
Okay, so let's start on G7.
And then we're gonna play on beat one.
G7 and then C.
One, two, G7, [G] go.
[Cm] Slide to C, go.
Back to G7, go.
[G]
Slide to [Cm] C, go.
One more time.
Each, [G] go.
[Bb] Finish on C, go.
[C] [N] Okay, now that you have learned all the chords, let's strum them.
So we're gonna start on C.
We're gonna play all of them on beat one. Get ready.
Make sure you're ready for A minor [F] and ready for F.
Make sure your hand is not over here.
You need to be right over the [C] fretboard.
One, two, ready, [Cm] C.
Switch to [Am] A minor, go.
[C] Ready for F, go.
G7, [G] slide up.
[Bb]
Slide to C, [Cm] next.
A minor, [Am] go.
F chord, ready, go.
[G] G7, go.
[Bb] Finish it on C, ready, [C] go.
[D] So I know that the most challenging part is going from F to G7.
[N] I know that.
And it took me a long time to learn that too.
So don't feel bad if it's taking you a little bit of time to learn that.
That's totally fine.
