Well, Jim and Kennedy are lounging by the pool
We are freezing up here
But I promise you it is worth it because Leo khaki who was known for his distinctive guitar style and dry weight is coming to
A town near you he is currently on tour to support his 24th album called standing in my shoes and here standing his own shoes
Is Leo thank you so much for being a trooper on this freezing, New York, June day.
Oh, thank you
It's a [C#m] pleasure to be up here beautiful.
Talk to me about [G#m] the title of this album standing in my shoes
I've tried to think what it must be about.
It was a tune that I wrote 20 [N] years ago something like that
I think maybe it means I'm civilized
You know up until then I walked around bare feet got worms showed up in your living room little this what's the word for blungeoned?
That's a word.
[A#] Yeah
[G] Now you also have had a lot of other [B] changes in 24 [Fm] years
One thing that I read about is you used [N] to really not enjoy
Recording at all and the recording for this album has been a terrific experience for you
Well recording resembles more than anything else without having done it embalming I think you know
You sit in a room with no air no light
For 12 hours a day with people who are very still generally until the red light is on
This time around I went back to work with a guy named David Z who I'd known
When I started out he's a producer of this album
He is and we did it in Nashville
Which is a congenial atmosphere to be working in and we finished it
Which is the best part about the record and please wait a long time for the embalming process won't you yeah?
I I can't imagine anything less appealing as a profession although I well I
Fortunately I can play the guitar otherwise who knows what I'd be doing absolutely
I can't imagine anything more appealing than having you play us out right now
So why don't you do it as we leave our [E] good folks?
We're going to see you tomorrow, but enjoy this tonight
Thank you
