[Db] _ _ Yeah, she's basically [Bm] changing all her vowels to I [Bb] and I can show you exactly what i'm talking about.
[Eb] And this kind of goes into [C] like people like to talk about the indie girl accent,
but it's completely necessary for the [B] type of sound that she's going [D] for.
She has to change her vowels towards I or like an U because those [E] vowels are lighter vowels.
If I [C] sing like,
uh, [B] what she's saying here?

If I go,

Or what? _ _ _ _
[C] It completely changes the sound.
Suddenly [Bb] like you're going into like belter
_ full out
_ [B] blown
whatever territory.
And what she's doing

[Am] _ Instead of [E] going _ _ _
_ _ _ She's going
Is _
_ _ [D] You hear how [E] much lighter an I is?
It's really hard to make [Dm] your I very very full.

You can't really do it.
You kind of go for like it kind of just turns whiny.
It doesn't really get full and in your face [Bm] and powerful.
That's why she's modifying her notes that way and that's why she pronounces the [D] words the way that she does.

It's perfect for [Dm] the style that she's going for.
And it's the only way to [B] approach those sort of notes with the same sort of [G] timbre to her voice.
Because she can [Bb] have that angst to [D] it, but at the same time give it a floatiness.
A vowels are perfect for [E] that. _
