[Em] Hi everyone, my name [C] is Freya Casey.
I'm a professional singer and vocal [G] coach and I've been making a full-time [B] living off of singing and vocal [Em] coaching for the past [C] 20 years or so.
[G] And today I want to react to Billie Eilish's Bellyache.
[B] The live version I love raw, unplugged, live because [Em] it really shows what someone can do vocally and musically.
[G] So let's get started.
[B] [F#m]
[Em] [D] [Am]

[Em] What?
[C] [Am] Really [E] [Em]

[Em] tell me the story.

[C] It'll be a pretty soon.

[Em] Okay,
[C] [Am]
[Em]
I'm going to add the comments [C] later here.
[Am]
[Em] Such a nice intimate [C] version.
[Am] [Em]
Love her voice colors.
[Am] [C] Okay, [Am] [B] [Em]
can I just make a comment here?
So, okay, she starts so intimately and it's all about expression.
Okay?
I mean, of course she has perfect intonation here, but it's really all about feeling and it's like almost the implosion, right?
You want to just like heartfelt, heartbreaking.
And now she's really, I mean, she's giving herself a lot of space to just increase, increase, increase more, more, more, more, and to build, which is really cool.
And it's really about an amazing voice color.
It's not about doing crazy, virtuosic stuff.
And I'm all sometimes for like, just please avoid it if it's not really helping the song, which she is perfectly conveying the style of the song.
And she's putting in so many nice voice colors.
I love that.
[E] [G] [C] [Am]
[Em] See how she's like, now I got a bellyache.
She's taking it down the energy, but it's almost like explosion [A] implosion.
[G] [Em]
[G] [C] I love those unplugged.
[Am]
[Em] I mean, you're totally feeling what she's, she's literally going through it here.

Like I could be anywhere.
I love the breath.
I always preach like, let the feelings get into the breath.
Also the sound of the breath is just also relevant.

[G] [C] [Am]
[E] Okay.
This is really amazing.
Love that.
You know, it's really all about feeling.
And I love how when an artist really gets what's going on in the song, sometimes it's about being virtuosic and showing off your amazing voice and all the adlibs and singing crazy high.
Sometimes it's not about that.
Sometimes it's just about sounding amazingly emotional.
And at the same time, still having great technique, having a style and she has her own style.
That's why she's so successful.
She has her style.
And you know what?
It's really all about just you doing you as an artist.
The artists are the most successful are the ones who just do their own thing.
And it doesn't, they don't even care what anybody [Cm] thinks.
You just feel what you feel and you put it all in your music and you express it.
And that's how something authentic is happening.
And I just love how authentic this is.
She's just being herself and she's just really deep in the song, living through it, experiencing those feelings that she's singing about.
I mean, she's in it right now when she's singing it.
So love that.
All right.
If you like the video, give it [G] a thumbs up and please make more suggestions for reaction [B] videos I could be posting.
So have [Em] a great day and until next time, don't forget to [Cm] always keep the song in your heart.
[G] Bye.
