Hey, what's up guys?
I'm back to do a lesson for when the [Am] levee breaks from Led Zeppelin 4.
Just wanted to show you a way to play it on the acoustic [Eb] guitar.
[N] It's in the key of E and a lot of the main lick is based around the E and just bending.
What you're going to be doing is bending the 3rd fret of the low E and the way it goes
in the verse is you're just going to do it once, bend that 3rd fret, [E]
lift off.
You're going to do that three times and the last time you're going [G] [E]
to [G]
bend and release
twice on the 3rd fret of the low E and lift your 2nd finger off that A string, hit [A] that
open A string.
Do the [G] bend at the 3rd of the low E once more.
[E] So it's, okay, that's how it goes through the main verses and then the second part of
the verse where he's getting to, oh [G]
well, oh well, oh well, you're going to [C] go
[D] [Bb] C to
a D and for this C you want to play, cover that low note at the [C] 3rd fret of the low E.
So all 4 fingers, [D] D and then you're going to go [A]
[G] [E]
A, G, A, E.
And the strumming for this is you're going to be strumming down for the A's and up for
[G] the G and the E.
[A] So, [G]
[E] [G]
[B]
alright, did you get [A] that?
So down for A, G, and for this G you really only have to have your, since you're strumming
up you're not playing the full G chord, you're just playing the bass notes.
[A] So, [G] A, G, [A] A, [E]
E.
[A] [E]
[G] [E]
Okay, and [N]
let me see, there's another little breakdown at the end where you're going to
do something [E] like this.
[B]
[A]
[E]
So you're going to start with E, hit that low E string [Am] and come up and play E in this
position, the D shape at the 4th [E] fret,
[G] back to that low [E] E string, play a B.
[B]
And [N] for this B you want to bar your 1st finger across the 2nd fret from the A string down
and then with your 2nd ring and pinky you're going to be at the 4th fret of the D, G, and B [B] strings.
[E]
[B] [Gb] So, go to an [A] A.
[B] [D]
[E] So when you're doing the A part, you're going to slide your barred 1st finger [B] [E] to the 4th
fret [B] and [A] [D] then D, [E]
E.
[Em] Okay.
So, [C] I think the trickiest part of this [N] song is just the strumming and the A, G, to A,
E part is a little bit tough.
You've got to get that rhythm [A] down.
[G] [E]
[G] [E] [C]
[D]
[G] [E] [A]
[G] [E]
And then the [G] main part.
[E]
But anyway, that's the way that I learned it [F] and just wanted to share it with you.
Alright, hope that helps you [B] out.
[G] [C]
[D]
[A] [E] [D]
[E]
Take care.
