Chords for You're Beautiful - Phil Wickham (Tutorial in C)

_ _ Hey guys, it's Jobe and I want to show you guys how to play _ _ _ Beautiful by Phil Wickham.
So _ _ we have the album version.
If you like the key that the album version is in, he drops his guitar a half step down.
I'm going to play it in D and capo it at the first fret.
So when I play it with the album version it sounds the same.
But double check me on that just to be sure.
So here are the chords.

I play it in the key of C.
And the reason I do this is so that I can get that little riff that the second guitar plays
_ _ [Eb] _ on just like the first guitar.
So I'm going to raise the capo up to the third fret so that I can still be in that same key
of the album version and play _ in C.

And so the cool part about it is that I can get the _ little _ _ riff that the guitarist plays
in the beginning.

It's not as _ complex_
It's not complex at all.
So, I have this C chord.
_ And what I'm doing is I'm [C] hammering the [Fm] D [G] string, which I'm playing with my middle [Ab] finger.
_ So I'm basically strumming [Eb] _ _ _ and _ _ _ hammering that [Cm] D string. _ _
_ _ _ _ [Eb] _ Third time around you want to hit that _ _ _ G _ _ string and [Ab] then go to the F.
So [A] it sounds [Eb] _ _ _ like_
_ _ _ [Ab] _ _ _ _
[Cm] I'm doing it very sloppy, just like hitting all the strings at the same time,
but as long as you hit those general strings it should sound [Fm] good.
[Eb] Then _ _
_ _ _ _ [Ab] _ you _ _ _ _ _ _ go to [Eb] the A minor, and [G] you're also hammering the D string _ with [Cm] _ _ your [Fm]
ring finger.
_ [Cm] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bb] _ But _
_ [Gm] _ that time on the [Fm] A minor, [Cm] _
so I hammer the D string, and then _ _ when you [B] change
you want to let go of your middle finger, _ which is [Eb] playing _ _ the G string.
So, _ stay with [Fm] me.

_ _ _ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ So on [Cm] the A minor, you want to let go of that D string, _ _ _
_ and then the middle finger at the G string, so it's kind of like you're playing A7, A minor 7.

The G I play in [N] _ _ this form, so that I'm holding _ _ [Abm] _ _ _ the _ B string [Bb] _ on the first fret,
and I can let go of it and hammer it. _ _ _ _
