Okay I'm gonna make an attempt to show you how to play Across the Universe, one
of the nicest Beatles songs to play.
I think I do it with capo on the first
fret because [Db] I like to try and play the version from the [Ab] Wild Wild Life phone, not
the [C] shitty let it be [G] version with all the strings.
It's great but nobody was
good at this version but [Eb] capo or not it's up to you.
So the intro is a nice
[Db] part on this song.
Starting with a C and you're gonna slide up and play a C on
the top three [Eb] strings which is [F]
eight frets up [Db] and top three strings you can
play the eighth, the eighth and the ninth so try [F] play [Db] the three [Bb] then you get a
pluck so come down to the seventh fret [G] relative to the capo and [Cm] fret the first
and the third strings all right it's got that [F] slide down two [Bbm] more and [Eb] then
make a D minor formation starting on the third [Fm] fret you'll still pluck those two
play the second
[Db] get this [Bb]
[Fm]
[Db]
[C] [Bbm] [Fm]
[Eb] then go down to an E minor that you're gonna hammer on
and off the [E] third [Fm] string on the second fret then [F]
[D] make a G formation but again
[Ab] you're gonna be still be hammering on to the [E] third string off don't worry
about playing [Ab] that E down here.
[C]
All right so it goes like [Db] this really slowly
[Bb] [Fm]
[F]
right I won't go through it again or the video will go forever so that's the intro
[Db] verse got a few quite a few chords in this that starts on C to [Bbm] A minor [Fm] to D minor
to [F] [Ebm] G
[Ab]
to G7 [F] [Db] so
words are [Bbm] flowing out like [Fm] endless rain into a paper cup [Ebm] they slither while they pass
they [Ab] slip away across the universe
[F] and again
[Db] walls of [Bbm] sorrow, waves of joy [Fm] are drifting through my open mind [Ebm] possessing it
just after the D minor here you go to an F minor
[Gbm] possessing me
[Db] and chorus C
to my guru, devil
[Ab] to G
G7
nothing's gonna change my world
to F
[Gb] nothing's gonna change my [Db] world C
