Hi guys, I've had a lot of people asking for a [G] tutorial for back in the USSR since I covered it recently
So here it [A] is this one
[F#] This is an acoustic version obviously [E] if you were gonna
[A] [D]
But this is the way [E] I do it, of course it's not the way the Beatles do [E] it
Anyway intro starts on an E
Okay, and you're gradually gonna bring an e7 into the intro so put your pinky onto the second string
Third fret to bring that in so start off with down strokes on the face
Bring the pinky stop bringing in that down 7th note
Down down down down down down down
All right, and [A] the verse chords we need for the verse are A
[D] D
[C] [D]
C and back to D twice, okay
[A] And the strum I'm basically [F] just doing straight up down [E] up down up down to [A] the strum
[D]
[C] [D]
I
[A]
[D] [C]
[D] [A] [D]
[C] [D]
[A] [D]
[C]
[A] Mean
[C] That [D] [A]
course is just straight [C] to the C
[D]
D back in the [A] USSR
[D]
D
[E] Or an e7 as you're coming out of the course
These these [C] sevens these [G] and some d7 you could need to change you if you really [A] wanted to
verse 2 same as chords verse 1
[D] [C]
[D] [A] [D]
[C] [D] See of course I
[C] See
[D] Back [F#] in the US back in the USS [G#] so in that part where he's just doing that you can
[G] Literally just mute the strings [F] the strum to keep [F#] the rhythm
[F] [F#m]
[A] Coming out of the second um chorus, there's that little nice [B] little [A] rustle or you could just go from a to a
Set [Em] or you can go on the [A] fifth string open double [B] pluck
second fret double pluck [C]
third fret double pluck
fourth fret [C#] double pluck
[D]
[A] What you could do if you wanted to because at that point you're on the a you could bar across the a
Then just bring that bar up to the fifth string
[F#] So you're borrowing across
Five strings there, but only really playing the middle four [C] then bring your third up here [C#] and then fourth [A]
so
[E]
[D]
It's up to you all right, [A] I suppose the other thing I should mention to you when you're on the
verse with your eyes [C] and
disease [F#] on [A] the
On the a if you do want to bar across the a it does open up then the [F#] pinky to play the fourth thumb
[C] fret
[A] string
[Am] Same with the D when you're playing you [D] did
fourth fourth fret on the third string
and on the [C] C
It'd be releasing the fourth string [D] and playing the third string [C] on the second
So just take your finger off [Am] the fourth and put it under the third
[C]
So you [A] get this?
[D]
[G] [A]
[D] [C]
[D] [A] It's up to you you throw little bits and pieces of it in if that makes it sound better for you or you so
Right where do we [D] get up to?
[B]
[C]
[A]
To the a then the run up the fifth string
[C] [D]
[B] Playing a B there
But if you don't like the bar chord B you could get get away with the playing a B7
Well, it [Am] doesn't sound [C] quite as right, but it is easier
[B] [E] and
[D] The D [A] and then back to the a
Like at the end of the [D] course Good [E] Just slowly
[D]
[A]
We go to the a7 as I said there
[D]
[B]
B or
C7 if you like
[E]
[D]
D or D7
That's probably the right chord but D D7 whatever you [A] like
Up [D] down the [E] D
And
That's it your [G] whole song
That's the verse chorus and bridge.
So the rest of the songs just made up of those parts.
There's [A] a solo in the middle
[D] [C]
[D] [A] Sometimes I play the [D] A and then I let it in
[B] We throw in that little [A] hit on the fourth fret [D] on the third string
[C] Same with the C
[D] [A]
I just like playing the full A there but it's very hard
It's very hard to be able to hit that note up there
While you're [D#m] playing the A without barring it so
[F#] Anyway, there's several different little variations you can do in that song
So I'm sure you'll be able to figure out what [F] works well for you.
So
So here it [A] is this one
