[F] Ok I'm going to show you how I [D#] play the Beatles Get Back.
to stress right out front this is not technically the correct way to play it.
And George plays [A] you know A [C] chords up on the 5th fret and so [E] forth.
way I choose to play [D] it solo [F#] on an acoustic guitar.
Now it's an A chord and it's pretty much just doing little down strokes [A] on the middle strings.
top 4 [A] strings.
main riff I'm pretty much just hitting the 5, 4 and 3 strings.
And I'm going on and off 4th string on the 4th fret.

_ _ _ _ [F] Ok I'm going to show you how I [D#] play the Beatles Get Back.
So I just want to stress right out front this is not technically the correct way to play it.
[E] It's obviously not an [D] acoustic song.
_ And George plays [A] you know _ A [C] chords up on the 5th fret and so [E] forth.
I'm just going to show you the way I choose to play [D] it solo [F#] on an acoustic guitar.
Ok.
Now it's an A chord and it's pretty much just doing little down strokes [A] _ on the middle strings.
_ [Am] I just bar completely across the top 4 [A] strings.
But when I'm doing the _ _ _ _ main riff _ I'm pretty much just hitting the 5, 4 and 3 strings. _ _
_ And I'm going on and off 4th string on the 4th fret. _ _ _ _
Just [F#] down strokes and I'm also palm muting.
I mute inside of my palm.
To [A] mute after each sort of down stroke.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Just release it.
_ _ _ Just practice that for a while.
_ [E] If you prefer to use your pinky [Em] and your 4th finger [A] whatever. _ _
Whatever is easiest to reach for you. _ _ _
_ Just down strokes.
Down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down. _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] G.
_ G and [G] _ _
[D] _ a D chord one strum on each. _
[A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
okay.
Alright now to a D [D] chord. _ _ _
Essentially the same thing just make a
D chord now but you can use your pinky to come up onto the third string fourth
fret on and off. _
_ _ You don't necessarily have to strum right down to the first
string you can just sort of strum the fourth third and second strings if you
like.
_ _ _ _ _ It's easier just to fret the whole D I find anyway but um if you want to
fret the D's too _ do [C] that as well whatever's easiest for you just makes
sense to [D] me to just make a D and use my pinky on the fourth fret third string _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[D] _ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [F#] _ _
[A] It's between A and D. _ _ _ _
Now when you get to this part I'm doing _ [F#m] and [A] then an upstroke on the third and fourth strings _ _
_ _ _ that's not technically correct I mean I think it's do do do [Em] do I know but when
you're playing it acoustic this [C#m] sounds perfectly fine and [A] it's a lot _ easier _ _
_ _ _ _ Down up.
Down up.
Down up.
[D] Get back to where you once [A] belonged.
_ [D] _ G D.
[E] _
_ _ _ _ _ So [C] it's just a few different little techniques to make up the song [A] you just need that _ little riff on the [F#m] A
little riff on the D. _ _
[A] _ _ [D] G and the C downstrokes and then [E] a _ _ little riff.
[A] _ _ _ _ Get back to where you once belonged.
Now the other bit you need now is on a D [D] at _ _ _ _ the end of each little refrain so
what I'm doing here is making [F#m] a D chord and I'm playing three one _ and I'm
[A] releasing the three and the one strings [Em] and playing them open three one and [D] then
just strumming _ D on the fourth string so three one [Em] three one [D] _ D _ _ _
Get [A] back.
_ Get [E] back.
Get back to where you [D] used to _ [G] be.
_ [D] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ Literally just the infrared [D] mask. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
There's nothing more [D] to it.
_ _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ _ Swing her out of my hand.
Thought she was a [D] woman but she was not a [A]
man.
_ All the girls around her said she's not coming but [D] she goes a mile [A] a minute.
_ Get back.
_ Get back.
_ [D] Get back to where you once belonged. _
_ _ [B] See?
_ It's just putting [C] all those bits together.
I know it looks looks easy and said and done but
literally just master those little four bits just [G] keep playing them over and
over and over again get some muscle memory [D#] happening and you'll find it'll
all come together [C] just with a bit of [D#] practice but you know as I said [F] that's
just the way I choose to [E] play it you know people will come and correct me
that's not the way the Beatles do it duh of course it doesn't matter that's the way I do it.
If you like it [C] go ahead and play it that [D#] way if you don't [E] go watch another tutorial as always.
