Start Jamming...
Hi, this is TJ with piano clubhouse and today.
I'm going to show you how to play
trust in you
by Anthony Brown and
[E] Group therapy the song was in the key of E major the E scale is [A] E F sharp G sharp [C#] a B [D#] C
sharp [E] D sharp and E
If you're familiar with the number system numbers are E is the [F#] 1 [G#m] F sharp is the 2 G sharp is [A] the 3 A is
[B] 4 B is [C#] the 5 [D#] C sharp is the 6 D sharp [E] is the 7 and E is the 8 or the 1 back to the 1
So let's jump right to it on the song really just has two sections
The further you get into the song they kind of add some special runs to the section
But for the most part if you learn these two basic sections, you can play [G] the entire song
And it's simplest level.
So let's get started
I'm gonna play the play the first section first and then we'll break it down.
Here we go
[C#m] [E] [B]
[C#m]
[F#] [C#m] [A]
[Bm]
[E] [B] You
[C#m] [Em]
[G#] Okay, so let's break that down so the first the first main one we need to learn is [C#m] I
Have my fingers [G#] kind of set [F#] up in this position and the notes are [G#m] F sharp [F#] G sharp [E] F sharp
[C#m] E C sharp [F#] E
1 2 3 4 [E] 5 6.
[G#] Okay, that's 6 note run there.
So whenever I refer to doing the run, that's what I'm talking [C#m] about
[F#m] So we start [C#m] out with the run and [E]
then we're gonna land on left hand is on E
Right hand is on B E and F sharp
Okay, then after that the right hand is gonna post the F [F#] sharp just up and down
eighth notes
six times [C#m] and then the [E] run
[G#] Okay, so let's start from the beginning again [C#m] run starts [E] out then 1 [B] 2 3 4 5
[F#] 6 [C#m] run
Left hand moves down a C sharp and G sharp right hand does the exact same thing
Hit the same [B] chord [C#m] and then pulse the F sharp six times [B] 1 2 3
[F#] 4 5 same thing [C#m] run
[E] Left hand moves down to a and eat right hand [A] continues to pulse 1 2 3
4 5 run
[E]
[Bm] Left hand moves up to B and F sharp now the 5 right hand hits this twice 1 2 [A] and then you're gonna do
[E] E and a
[B] E and G sharp and then D sharp [E] and F sharp [B] and then [C#m] the run
[E] and then we're back to the beginning
[G#] So let's play that entire
Entire set together from the beginning starts with [C#m] the run
[E] [Bm] 1 2 3 4 5 6 [C#m] run
[B] 1 2 3 [F#] 4 5 6
[C#m] [A] 1 2 3 4 5 6 run
[B] 1 [A] 2
[E]
[B] run
[C#m] [E] Okay, so this happens four times
The first time do we do it just like that the second time instead of [Bm] pulsating just the F sharp
[E] We're gonna now pulsate these top two notes the E and F sharp
Okay, so the second time is gonna go 1 2 everything else is the same
[G#] run [C#m] run
[A] Left hand goes down down to the 4
Left hand goes up to the 5 run
[E] 1 2
[B]
[F#] Then the third time we're gonna pulsate three notes [E] with the left hand now
The B the E and the F sharp now see as you can see each time we're going through this
We're adding we're kind of building up
Okay, so the [N] choir starting to come in stronger and so we're gonna kind of mirror them and come in a little bit stronger with
With our chords.
Okay.
So now we're pulsating three notes in the right hand.
This is the [E] third time
To I'm gonna add Akka's with the left hand now
[C#m]
5 6
[A]
4 5 6 1
[B] [E] Last [B] [C#m] time
So the fourth time through
[E] This is the last time through which is the [Am] probably the biggest we're gonna get in this [B] section
So we're gonna just [E] play instead of pulsating three notes.
Now, we're gonna add a fourth note.
We're gonna add this octave B so it's
We're gonna pulsate all four of these for these notes and instead of doing the run [C#m] like we normally do
[E] We're not gonna do that run anymore in this section
We're just gonna play straight chords 1
3 or watch what happens 6
[B] [C#m] So instead of doing the run
We're [E] just doing a quick walk down where the left hands on e the right hands on e.
These three e's are gonna go [B] down
To the D sharp.
Okay, so right hands now on a B major chord B
D sharp F sharp B [D#] left hands [E] on D sharp.
Okay, so here
[B] ease down
Left hand continues down to C sharp right hand.
They're just gonna move back up [C#] to this [Em] sus chord that e sus 2 chord
Okay, so the right hand is gonna stay on this sus 2 chord [B] this go back and forth [E] between this this entire section
So let's do this fourth time through 1 2
Left hands gonna do the same progression
[B] [C#] Left hands on the 6 now.
It's gonna walk down to the [B] 4 [A] 5 4 2
[E] 1 2 same thing
[B] Okay, that's the entire first [G] section
All right now let's go to the section section I'll play through it and then we'll break it down
Let me finish up that last [E] section.
[B] Here we go
[A] [C#m] [B]
[A] [Dm] [D#] [G#]
[G] [G#] [G] [C] [Cm] [D#]
