Hello, this is Jermaine with Piano Clubhouse.
Today we're going to show you some real simple, real beginner preacher chords.
Just some things to play behind the preacher when he gets into his tune-up.
We're going to start, we'll try it in E flat.
[Eb] E flat.
[C] [Eb] E flat scale.
[Eb] [Fm] [C]
[Ebm] Alright.
[C] E flat, your preacher [Eb] starts to tune up.
You just kind of want to, you don't want to overpower him.
Especially when you're just starting [A] off.
When he's just getting into [Eb] his hoop.
So if he's in E flat, you may want to just hit your bass note.
And just come in with maybe a little diminished.
And what that is, is basically, in your right hand, you're just going to [A] start out with a diminished chord.
What a diminished chord is, is basically just half steps.
Minor, minor steps.
[Bb] And how you find those is just three half steps.
[Ab] Let's say you want to, you're in E flat.
You're [Abm] starting in E flat.
You're going to go down.
[Ebm] One, [C] two, three.
[Eb] So don't start counting on your, on the E flat.
Start [Cm] counting on the next note.
So, that's how you find your diminished [Ebm] chord.
[C] Then you can [B] even start from there.
[A] That's your next note.
[Gb]
That's your next note.
So [Cm] those stopping notes were.
[Bb]
One, two, three.
One, two, three.
[Eb] And what I did was, I went from there.
To an E flat chord.
[Gbm] To an E flat major chord.
But I added a minor note in there.
[Eb] So what [Db] I did was, [Eb] I gave you [Db] a flat seven.
A [A] D flat.
With the E flat chord.
G, D flat, [Ab] E flat.
Minor seven.
[Eb] That's what I'm doing in my right hand.
That's what you're doing.
Your left hand, my left hand was basically just.
You had your E flat going.
Then I [Cm] just hit that.
E flat with a C.
Basically you're just going to.
Take that C up to a D flat.
[Eb] That's what I'm doing.
And you're going to add that in there.
You're going to add the B flat.
That's where we are.
We're still kind of under.
I'm kind of pushing them a little bit.
We're still under.
And another chord.
It's kind of in the same pattern.
[D] [Ab] [Eb] [Ab]
[G] [G] [Ab]
