Psalm 103, bless the [Ab] Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless [Eb] the Lord, O my soul, who forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities,
who heals all your diseases, who redeems you, your life, [C] from destruction,
who crowns [Db] you with loving kindness and tender [E] mercies,
who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed by the eagles.
Our song this morning that we're signing is based on Psalm [N] 103,
on having reasons and reasons and reasons to bless the Lord and worship his holy name.
So as we have together for practice this week, we started our practice writing down
reasons that we want to bless the Lord and worship him.
I got too tickled I had to go get more paper because there were so many reasons to write down.
And really the number 10,000 is so small, it isn't reality.
We could write [B] more and more scrolls of all the reasons to bless the Lord.
He has saved us from our iniquities.
He redeemed us [Db] from destruction.
So [Eb] if you are tempted to [E] be discouraged and think about your circumstances and get down about that,
I want to encourage you not just today, but throughout your whole life to refocus on Jesus and on God
and the reasons that we have to focus on him and to rejoice, to bless his holy name, to worship him with our lives.
The verses of the psalm talk about how each day when the sun comes up, we can sing our song,
live our life in a way that blesses the Lord because his heart is kind, his [N] goodness is so great and amazing.
And then when our life is done, when our strength is failing and it's time for us to go home glory,
then we can all together bless the Lord [E] forevermore for 10,000 years and many, many more beyond.
So bless the Lord and worship
