[Am] Hi, [N] this is Jenny from 21 Songs in 6 Days here to teach you Amazing Grace.
I do Amazing Grace with 5 chords.
[C] I do the C chord, and I do a C7, and I do an [F] F, [Am] I also do an A minor, [G] and a G7.
[C] When you're first learning it, you can just do one, three chords per measure, all downs.
Amazing Grace, or what I like to do is a more complicated strumming pattern, which is down,
[E] down, up, down, down, down, up, down, down, down, up, down.
And that works with the 3-4 pattern really well.
It's sometimes helpful to speak the words with the strumming pattern to get the rhythm worked out.
Because we start on a pick up, you want to make sure you don't strum until May, Amazing Grace.
Amazing Grace, [A] how sweet the sound.
[C] And you can practice the whole song that way.
So here we go, Amazing Grace.
Amazing Grace, [F] how sweet [C] the sound.
That saved [Am] a wretch [G] like me.
[C] I once was lost, [F] but now [C] am found.
[Am] Was [G] blind, but now [C] I see.
T 'was grace that taught [F] my heart [C] to fear, and grace [Am] my fears [G] relieved.
[C] How precious did [F] that [C] grace appear, [Am] the hour [G] I first [C] believed.
Amazing [F] Grace, how sweet [C] the sound.
That saved [Am] a wretch [G] like me.
[C] I once was [F] lost, but now [C]
[Am] was blind, [G] but now [C] I see.
Enjoy.
