You know, sometimes it's hard to just be still, but if we be still and know that He's God,
there's something that happens during that time.
This is not something I just dreamed up.
This comes out of Psalms 46.
I've had a number of requests to do this song.
I wrote it years ago.
Back in the 80s, I was pastoring a small church and we were going through a real trial and
God took us through that.
But He showed me something in the Word, Psalms 46.
God is our refuge and our strength.
He is a very present help in times of trouble.
And it goes on to say at the end of that chapter, chapter 46 of Psalms, I read it every day,
be still and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth.
So [A] don't [G] just stay in and be still physically, [A] but let's just be still in our spirit, [D] in
our soul, in our body and know that He is God and [F#m] watch Him do [G] His thing and He will.

[Dm] and
[D] it seems [E] all hope is [D] [G] gone.
[A] [G]
But let's just stop our [D] crying and [B] [F#]
talking [Bm] foolishly
[A] so [G]
we can hear [D] His still small voice
when [Bm] [E]
He speaks so [Bm] [Em] [D] [G] tenderly.
[A] [D] And He will.
Be still,
[F#m] [G] be still and know that I [D] am God.
