The guitar is tuned standard E A D G B E
And for a major part of the song Carlos plays riffs from the C Major Scale
Which [D] is this _

_ Basically what he does is takes this scale and randomizes notes
He might play something [D] like this
_ _ [E] _ _ _
[D] 4 _ _ [Am] _ 4 _
_ _ [Dm] _ _ [E] _ _ _
In order [C] to play that scale you're going to need to go to fret 8 with your middle finger
And we're going to play finger per fret here
We're going to take the middle finger and place it on the E string
_ _ And we're going to play finger 2 [D] 4
Go to the A [E] string finger 1 finger [F] 2 _ 4
[Gm] Then [A] go to the D string 1 3 [C] 4
_ [A] 1 3 4 [B] _

[G] On the B string [F#m] 4
[B] And on the high E string [F#] 1 _ [B] 3 4

And that way we get an extra note
